I'm not trying to be a shill for the beverage industry, but I've seen no data showing benzene is toxic at 100 ppb. Just because the EPA or world heath organization (WHO?) sets a level, doesn't mean that above that level, you're gonna fall over dead. Typically the levels of the stuff they need to induce cancer formation in mice are a lot higher - like 10,000 ppb or more. And the mice they conduct experiments on develop cancers in response to just about anything. I'm not saying to just ignore it, but you have to be realistic. I did a quick search of WebMD and found something more recent:
