It depends. What site are you using? If you are using a mainstream site than you should be fine. However, if you're going through the back alleys of the internet I'd watch out.Originally posted by justanotherpackfanPartial, you know quite a bit about computers, correct? If its a legit company that you've seen in stores it should be alright. Make sure you google the store name first and read up on them a bit first. There are many, many, many stores that are totally fake and just scam people out of cash.Originally posted by justanotherpackfanPartial, you know quite a bit about computers, correct? If the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
It's perfectly safe in terms of technology. Make sure the site has SSL, which you can tell by looking in the bottom right corner of the screen for a lock.
I've ordered online many, many times. You have to be smart, though. Cardinal rules are make sure you know what the company is, and if you've never heard of them search for reviews of the store and peoples shopping experiences, and to realize that if it sounds too good to be true, that it probably is.

Well, these aren't really stores you'd see in person. I need to purchase my Marathon entry form off of Active.com and I was planning on buying gel caps from succeedscaps.com. They both have privacy policies and are encrypted and yes, I do believe they have SSL's.Originally posted by PartialIf its a legit company that you've seen in stores it should be alright.
