  • Storm Report

It's snowing in Wausau with 30-40 mph winds. Hope all our Packerrats down south are doing okay. At least 18 people are dead from a tornado in Alabama. It looks like the same system producing snow here is producing the bad weather down south.

I saw an article where much of the upper midwest is being pounded by a big storm.

Thanks for the update. I feel for those of you in my home state.

I know what you mean, OPF. We are getting the rain left over from this thing. Hopefully all the Rats are safe, warm and dry tonight.

Horrible watching what happened in Alabama. Saw the video on CNN on how large and fierce the storm was. Probably was an F3 or F4. F3 winds clock at 150-200 MPH and F4 is 200-260 MPH. Absolutely devastating.

Around the Fox Valley area we had some blowing and drifting as well as sleet/freezing rain. A few inches of snow, but nothing real bad. I think late tonight through Fri. night will show the brunt of the snow.

GB was one of the worst hit from the storm over the weekend. Our official total from that storm was 16". We got about 4" more today, but now it's sleet/freezing rain. They said Hwy 41 from here to Appleton is glare ice.

That is horrible about the tornado in AL. I think a school got hit and 7 people were killed. Absolutely horrible.

we got about 8-9 inches over the weekend on the north border, and last i checked(about an hour ago) we had only gotten a couple inches today. they're still saying up to a foot tonight though

I think we ended up getting at least 18 inches. We still might get another 1-3 inches.

I realize rain is not nearly as devastating as blizzards, downed power lines, weather-caused car accidents, but the Portland, Oregon area recorded its 25th consecutive day of rain yesterday!

Some of us, including me, are experiencing a type of sun-deprived emotional disorder comparable to what some Alaskans experience in the dead of winter. We need sunshine!

Pretty much all rain here in N.Y., none of the flooding they were expecting..

Let's see, Feb 14, 42 inches of snow, 3/02 55 degrees & almost 2 inches of rain. Crazy freaking winter!

Red, I miss those days in Marquette (back whn I was a kid!) Still see them making highlights on the Weather Channel!
