I'm realizing very little of the footage on You Tube really does any of these bands justice. But anyway...
The best live rock and roll band in the world today hails from Athens, Georgia. No... not them. No... not them either. Throw some Stax/Volt soul, some British Invasion, some 60's surf music, turn the dial to 11 and you've got punk rock you can dance to. I present to you... THE WOGGLES!
Oddly enough the world's best country band is composed of several British punks who relocated to Chicago and a few stateside friends. Former members of the Mekons, KMFDM, and Jesus Jones making music that makes the restless ghost of Hank Williams lose his hat from banging his skull so hard. I present to you, the band that put the beers, tears, and fear back into Country music... THE WACO BROTHERS!
I don't know who the scariest bluegrass band in the world is now that this band's guitarist passed away. But up until a year or two ago it was no fucking contest. Long live... SPLIT LIP RAYFIELD!

Of the three singers in the Waco Brothers, two are British. Some of the guys in the band have a punk background, some do not. Suffice it to say, it's an odd background for countryish band.Originally posted by Tyrone BiggunsKMFDM aren't british and certainly weren't punk.

Well then, given your awareness, and given that I didn't say KMFDM were British or punk, I don't really understand your comment... or really what we're even talking about.Originally posted by Tyrone BiggunsMore than aware of the Waco Brothers.Originally posted by DonHutsonOf the three singers in the Waco Brothers, two are British.
