I set down a "LIVE" video of that as well on post #7952...Live @JFK Stadium... was it Philly !?

I prefer War Pigs....as arguably Black Sabbath's best or their anthem piece.

Here's a clean Sabbath piece entitled "Heaven and Hell". The quality of this is excellent.

That song is set down for driving. Rock like that strips away the miles from the highway. It offers a lot. I enjoy the versatility of it...especially the reverb on lead guitar and the almost sweet ending. An interesting Sabbath number all around. I hope you liked it.

I am sorry Woodward……I must have glossed over post #7952, I only give credence to your music posts that include the number of times the video has been viewed. You began by kindly including that data and then strangely stopped; I am afraid you are trying to infect my computer with a virus if I click on the music video that does not include the number of times it has been viewed.

You think you are clever, but I am on to you. I will keep my computer clean for all Packerrats viewing and whatnot.

The next posts will focus on David Stuermer born November 27, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from St. Francis High School (1970). He was discovered playing with his Milwaukee band Sweetbottom. Stuermer was backing up jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty in 1975.The first albums I heard these two play on was "Imaginary Voyage (1976) and "Enigmatic Ocean" (1977). His style of guitar playing blew me away. I was at the end of my 20's and I had a ton more to experience as I wrapped myself into Jazz. I was honed on Rock. Most chose the Beatles, the Dave Clark Five and Herman's Hermits. I wanted the Stones and Eric Burdon and the Animals. Earlier I like Elvis, Johnny Cash ( My Father), Roy Orbison, Dion, the Everley Brothers, the Letterman, Gene Pitney, Chuck Berry etc. or too many. Suddenly I was experiencing the English Invasion and the beginning of music with a whole new edge.

So what can I find. This will be an exciting trip back in time for me. Ok Mates and Lassie's it's right here:

Note: The drummer Steve "the Animal" Smith (Journey) played drums for Jean-Luc Ponty - Enigmatic Ocean (1977). He's famous as Journey's drummer.

This is fun to watch and is this Journey's Steve Smith? I think it is. Why...because that Steve with hair. 10 minutes of what a drummer is. Making it look almost easy...Steve "the Animal" Smith. Aaaaammmaaziiinnng.

ThatT-Shirt that Steve's wearing is a Zildjian RE: Cymbals and they're manufactured in my home Province @ Meductic, New Brunswick.

On the famous "Imaginary Voyage" tour the drummer was Mark Craney who played as well on the 1980 Jean Luc Ponty album "Civilized Evil". Craney played drums for Jethro Tull from June 1980 to May 1981 and on the Brother To Brother Album and Tour (1978) with Geno Vannelli .

Jethro Tull - Aqualung with Mark Craney. This little fella packed a whallop on the drum kit.

Geno Vanelli's a little dramatic here but all the same you cannot miss the greatness of Mark Craney and that's all the point here in offering this video:

Simply outstanding music....feed ! l'homme de francais c'est the incomparable Jean Luc Ponty on anything looking like a violin.

That's Steve Smith on drums; **Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Daryl Stuermer on lead guitar**; Allan Zavod electric keyboards and acoustic piano and Tom Fowler on electric bass.

Check out his solo at about 10:40 on this video. So fast and solid classical electric guitar. What an amazing shit hot damn...their great band. I listened to that album so many times I was afraid I'd wear it out. I can't say except for some classical stuff I've listened to much better.

Daryl Steurmer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin...get's it going around 3:40 of the video. He's ben one of my very favourite guitarists since well 37-38 years back when I discovered him playing with Jean Luc Ponty.
