Math is hard. Moreso it causes people stress. I know... I taught Math. Trying too get into the students head is a challenge. One I enjoyed. Some were never taught that Math is fun. I kept it that way.

I've taught General Academic Mathematics - Technical/Technological related Mathematics. Basic Arithmetic is usually mastered by grade three or four.

Add; Subtract; Multiply and Divide; Fractions and Decimals >>> all easy. Algebra; Geometry; Trigonometry;

Calculus; Laplace Transforms and Differential Equations >>> more challenging.

The dependence on calculators has harmed people in the work force today. I was fortunate...

School in the 1950-60's High School; Technology Diploma (Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Technology).

A University Degree - Technology Education (Major in Mathematics - minor in Industrial Psychology)

I love Math. It's everywhere I look. I generally think and analyze 'somewhat' mathematically. I always taught my students: ...There's 'never any problem that you can't solve except when there's a human factor involved. That often can get rather conditionally complicated and convoluted. People can be complex. ie as a result of things like personality issues and those expanding to severely complex, when dealing with a /or psychological factor (s).

I've always taught the *** "Keep it Simple, Stupid... Method" *** ; while working up my own course designs to cover the curriculum. Text books cost too much $$$$.
