I can't believe somebody on this board listens to the avalanches besides myself. We got some great taste!!!

DJ shadow, awesome. Pretty tasty at coachella last year.
I skipped Coachella last year after I couldn't buy a single day pass to see Rage Against the Machine.
      WTF are you talking about?

You just go to the venue like i do EVERY YEAR and buy a ticket for about half price.

The most i've ever paid is around 70 beans.

My other fav trick is to buy the camping pass and then sell it early on ebay. Watch the market grow for them like the internet boom..then it crashes.

BTW, i was completely disappointed by Rage. They sounded great, but little passion. And, they really didn't say anything to the crowd. You woulda thought with everything going on today, zack woulda said something.

Also, it was pretty disappointing hearing every backwards baseball cap wearing frat boy douchebag talk about Rage. Times like that i can see why KC offed himself.

Ohh I remember the day I was at my friends house and he just came back from the record store. Dude there had a copy of Nevermind with the SubPop printing on the back. He came back with Rage cause the record store guy knows all.

We were blown right the eff away. We're talking the typical 20 year old living room. $50 couch $1000 set of Klipsch with an AdCom amp. Its always irritating when mainstream catches up to something you dig, but its inevitable. I was in 7th grade and brought Appetite for Destruction on my Walkman. All but one of my friends hated it. Then effin Paradise City video came out. Same thing with Nirvana. Bleach is an awesome album, but ask 90% of Nirvana fans, they hate it.

I hear you. It isn't the popular thang..it is the complete missing of what Rage was about. Nirvana, GnR, REM..they weren't overt political bands.

          Bleach is awesome.

          Walkman...LOL. Sure it wasn't a discman?

Yup, I had Appetite on cassette. I had a home CD player at the time, but Discman's werent prevelant just yet. We're talkin 1987 here.

I hear ya about Rage and their message, but Zach kinda killed that for me when he left the band saying "we're just not political enough for my tastes"(paraphrased). If Rage isnt political enough, who the hell is?

As an aside, I've never been much of a TV watcher so when the first Matrix came out I knew nothing about it. My friends dragged me along. I was like "Keanu Reeves movie?! Gah".

Needless to say the movie was good, but when Wake Up fired up at the closing credits, I about crapped.

                        • Some of these old songs bring back some long time ago memories.......lol

I don't know if anyone ever posted the song "Beach Baby" by First Class. Back when I was young and in awe of the cheerleaders and pom-pom squad, they used to do a routine at half time of the basketball games to that song...brings back memories. My brother was super-jock and had a lot of girl "friends". The pom-pom squad took me in as their little mascot (obviously because of him..lol) Fun times....memories.
