  • Who is Patler? The Man, the Mystery...

This is the thread to see who can reveal Patler’s identity. A “Where in the world is Patler?” thread.

I say he will pop up the week of the draft at JSO. A guy in his mid 30’s, wearing glasses.

I think it was funny that when he moved here to PR he tried to disguise his identity.

His intelligent and rational posting outed him pretty quickly.

He will leave a trail of statistical anlysis wherever he goes and sooner or later one of us WILL find him. May the hunt for Patler begin!
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Another question is "Does Patler wear the same outfit as Waldo?"

Hmmm.... I always thought of him as a guy with tight spandex pants, tank top with his muscles bulging out, always with a calculator in hand.

Patler, can you help us resolve this once and for all?

I'd say older than that. I'd say he is retired. He has an incredible amount of packer knowledge dating back many, many moons.

Patler doing his salary cap calculations:

                          I can't run no more
                          With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
                          Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
                          A thundercloud

Nice! I imagine him looking like this:

"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
