I own a small house in Seattle that I bought back in the late 70s when I was in college. I have rented it out for years now and have had one of my cousins be the caretaker/manager for a nominal fee when I could not get down. He rented to some kids a few years ago who turned the basement into a growing area....by filling one of the rooms with dirt! Fuckers did not use buckets or pots....just dumped about 2 feet of topsoil down an old coal chute into a common area and started growing. We did not find out until they stopped paying rent and he went over and found the place just trashed. Luckily they never flooded the place.
