  • Wheelchair goes 0 - 50 mph

    Talk about a wild ride.

A guy in a wheelchair rolls in front of a semi at a gas station. The driver of the truck didn't see him and the next thing anybody knows, drivers on the freeway see a semi rolling down the road at 50 mph with a guy in the wheelchair attached to the grill.

4 miles and one spilled Coke later, the stunned driver is informed of the situation. The wheelchair bound man is okay and now holds the Guiness record for the fastest wheelchair on earth.

My guess is that this will be a "Jackass" stunt in the future.

That would be quite painful if the driver got into a fender bender.

Wow! Amazing the chair stayed in one piece and on the front of the truck.

This has got to be the best line in the article:

The driver was in disbelief when he stepped out of the semi and saw what he had picked up along the way, police said.

"When he saw us, he was like, 'What's going on?'" Morton said.

Years ago, my youngest daughter was in a wheel chair, the neighborhood kids would literally 'dump' her out, so they do wheelies in it. It was all done in fun, and at the time they all thought it was the coolest ride around.
Wheelchairs are built to be pretty indestructable.

This could only happen in 'Paw-Paw' Michigan.

The wheelchair manufacturer can get some great publicity from this about the quality of their product. They can use this guy in an ad.

I had no idea the wheel materials were that strong.

Was Bachman-Turner-Overdrive's song "Roll on Down the Highway" being played on the radio?

It is an incredible story how the guy really survived.

When Lex & Terry were talking about it on their news thing, that was the FIRST thing Terry said....then said " Man that is a NEW Dr. Pepper shirt, think someone gave it to him for advertisment?"
