    Guiness,

    Bingo! PackerChatters isn't a bad site, but it's overly moderated (everybody is too nicey-nicey), and I don't like their interface. JSO had the best posters at one time, but you've stated reasons for not staying there.

      So why is St-Lou so damn pissed off? I mean, someone musta taken a leak in those cornflakes. (I have my suspicions, MTP!)

      Also interesting is how 'handicapped' they've made JSO, due to the hacks, I assume.

      You can no longer create new accounts, and the retrieve lost passwords function has been disabled. And ppl there say WE are backing down...

        I think tonight just proves we needed to do this. The goal: make this the best Packer site in history.

        Check this out:

        Fuck = Fuck
        Ass = Ass
        Pur ple = lavender
        Vi kings = queens
        Be ars = FIBs
        Li ons = kittys
        Pussy = Pussy[/quote]

        Now dont everyone jump me about this. There isnt a swear word I havent heard or used and I would never stop going to a site because of language, but, is the fact that you can say fuck or ass or pussy or any other word really the best way to prove this is the best Packer site in history? I am against censorship and dont care what language you use, but sometimes adults are able to communicate without cussing.
        Doughnuts, is there anything they can't do?

          Well, the CE site didn't allow you to say a hole (e.g. Ahman found a hole to run through). It changed it to ding dong. There were others. Not to dog him, I actually liked the site a lot. I think the fact it was a Christian forum, even though I am a Christian and had no problem with it, turned off some people.

          I think the point is: hopefully, this site will have little moderation (unlike PackerChatters.com), but more security (unlike JSO). Hopefully, we can add good content and a good poster base, and make this baby hum.

            I know I was a big proponent of evolving this thing, probably to the consternation of many here. I will apologize for that--I got a vision of what this place could be with the amazing football posters that we have and couldn't get the idea out of my head.

            Just to clear the air, it wasn't because I disliked UNF or C-E. I wrote a really long PM to UNF asking him to reconsider his position. I honestly didn't have a problem with the religious side of it and did check out the other forums from time to time. My angle was that those of us that put football first and religion second needed a place to call home. This whole scenario has turned out to be a big mess, but out of this messy chaos can come brilliant order. If we turn all of our football minds to, as Harvey eloquently put it, turning this into the best possible Packer site possible, then I think we will have shot a big F.U. to JSO and will have achieved the best possible outcome.

            Now, I just need you creative Packer people to ante up. This is OUR site and this will only become what we make it. Thus, get over to the Site Development forum and start posting what you're interested in doing--writing, reports on GB or the Pack, Packer photos, blogging, fantasy player prognostication, web design, whatever. If we are to get this place live by the draft and start attracting new blood, then we're going to have to be aggressive.
