I built one of this company's 17 foot kayak kits and love the boat. These kayaks require a bit more maintenance than poly boats but they are fun to build.
Ya ya...I know you are not spending much but this is the kind of stuff I like to do.

Another idea: Check discount retailers and resale shops (and goodwill and Salvation Army) for the ugliest vase you can find. Did this for a wedding gift once too, and they thought it was hilarious.Comment
