i once watched the grave digger just stand around in a tank top talking to the crowd for 30 minutes during warmups in 20 degree weather before the san fran playoff game in 97.

in the rain

and yes it was raining while in the 20's somehow

It wouldn't apply in this situation, but LaCanfora mentioned earlier in the day that the league was considering penalizing runners (with the ball) for lowering their heads into contact.

Crosby short from 56, too, kicking to north end zone.

36m Packer Report ‏@PackerReport
Crosby short from 53 in warm-ups. Not a nice night.

Crosby hits from 52 to the south.

He did it because Crosby told him he could hit from 50 I bet.

Packers4Glory
12-09-2012, 09:42 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if that missed FG attempt is the difference in this game.

The offense hasn't been able to get a sustained drive aside from once tonight. They really needed to play the field position game considering our kicker has been bad from 50+. thats there for anyone to see. It's not a knock on Crosby, its just fact this yr. Not a time to gamble.

We used to say the same thing about his Special Teams and they are now far better.

The problem is that he takes Crosby's and Slocum's estimates as gospel and kicks accordingly. He should consider the other two and half (O, D and punt) units as well.

nice to see them stick it out and comeback after an early 14-0 hole.

Crosby looking much better too. He had a miss, but shit it was still a bomb. Some of these misses and the confidence issues can go right back to the head coach putting him some pretty bad situations. Esp with a guy struggling to find his groove again.

yeah that Stafford fumble was huge. If that doesn't happen, I don't think we win.

They turned a TO into 7 points. we turned one in for 7.

But its nice to see the line at least opening some holes. That will translate in the passing game if they can get teams to stay honest and respect the run.
