Everyone's talking about Trubisky. Is anyone considering the possibility that maybe Matt Nagy isn't the ultra-creative offensive mind that he was billed to be? In that opening week game last year, he had the Packers defense running in circles for about 20-25 minutes. But once the Packers made some adjustments, they shut the Bears down. Bears were 26th in the NFL in scoring last year. They're 26th now. How long before people start questioning the coach?

Start a poll thread about which is worse for the Bears. I'll vote and comment.

Watched the Vikings-Loins game last night. Vikings offense looks totally different - they've sped up the whole thing. Ball is coming out fast. They seem to rely less on picks and rubs than say Oak, GB, or NE (lot more misdirection, crossing patterns, reliance on WRs to get open), but regardless, they look fast and efficient and rn Cousins looks accurate. And they have a running game too. Will it last? Maybe tonight isn't a great test, but I'm curious to see if they keep the momentum going.

A fast pace is the only thing that Cousins can do well. If he has to hold the ball for any real length of time it's not pretty. That's what the difference was in their wins and losses this year.

When under pressure he's pretty much shitty. Gotta give credit to the playcalling and improved OL play. Bootlegs and play action and some blocking.

The odds makers were off tonight, I think the Vikings were 2 TD (or more?) favorites? Missed on the O/U, I was watching the line and it went from ~41 to 43. Pretty sure they won't see that!

In other news, Erek Flowers is going to get Haskins killed. Haskins just took a shot, and he was watched a free rusher go by and hit get to Keenum.

I think Zimmer lost his marbles....going for it in your end in a close game. I swear McCarthy gave him a call......lucky they got bailed out by a pick.

I can’t give credit to the Redskins. It’s the Vikings playing bad

But in all seriousness, I just turned the game on, but still, I’m sticking with the Vikings suck

Adrian Peterson is a HOF running back and a unique, one of a kind runner....

But, if I’m an offensive coordinator..... I think I like having Dalvin Cook more. Runs inside, outside, catches, blocks..... I like the versatility to set up the other parts of the offense.

Peterson will go down as the better player. He did it for a long time and unique in how he did it. But I do think Cook is close in a different, versatile way.

RashanGary
10-24-2019, 09:51 PM
And Harrison Smith is an absolute super star player too. Every Vikings game I watch, I think he’s the best safety in the league.

If I could take one back 7 player who I think would put the Packers over the top right now, I’d take Harrison Smith. I’d play with three safeties instead of two ILBs and I’d take Martinez off the field in passing situations too.

Yeah. Similar to cook. Obviously not as good.... sometime it’s nice to have different styles of players so you can do different things. But two guys who run inside and outside well... the Vikings offense does a good job with attacking all parts of the field with either back. Not a lot of change whoever’s in there

RashanGary
10-24-2019, 10:02 PM
The Vikings OL is a little suspect. Especially pass blocking. But RB/TE/WRs.... none better in the NFL.

And a good defense too.

Definitely a threat in the NFC.... similar to Packers.

about 40 rushes for maybe 180 and 4 FG. Redskins defense has been playing well in the red zone at least recently. Hopefully not as good on Dec. 8.

Also, Redskins should give up on Dwayne Haskins. If you spend a #15 pick on a guy he should be all pro right away.

As a Packer fan, sure I want to hate the Vikings, but I’ve watched a lot of football this year and Cook is the best back in football IMO. There are guys who run inside slightly better (Fournette for example) but i think he’s the best outside runner and damn near the best inside too. He attacks all areas of the field and opens their offense up to everything else.

Health is his only concern. If he stays healthy, he’s a HOF talent.

RashanGary
10-25-2019, 03:13 PM
Cook best RB in football
Harrison best safety in football

After that, it’s a lot of good players. But those top two, I love watching.

RashanGary
10-25-2019, 03:15 PM
Packers have best QB in football

And a whole bunch of good players. I’d lean toward the QB over the RB and safety, but both teams have elite HOF type talent.

RashanGary
10-25-2019, 03:18 PM
I take Rodgers over Mahomes because of the time management and game management and throw aways and when he takes sacks, etc... AR maybe slightly less physically talented right now, but he as close to perfect in his game management as a QB can get. If you’re not a packer fan and just a fan of football, I don’t know how you can not turn on the TV just to see AR play. Reggie white is the only other packer I’ve watched in ARs class. Favre isn’t close IMO

I know. Beyond the Tedious Tank (TT) posts there s still a talent issue that’s interesting.

Would have been nice to be able to get Metcalf without putting other needs on back burner. I’m still convinced they spent enough FA and draft capital on O talent the past three years - which includes Jones.

3rd and 22 from the opponents 35 or so. Dolphins run man to man on 3 receivers and an all out Cover 0 blitz.

Right outside receiver runs a crosser and his DB doesn’t follow. Full running start, one great block, TD.

Watching Watson and Mahomes. Both guys are athletic and have excellent pocket awareness and are always looking down field. Very similar skill sets to Aaron Rodgers.

AR has always had an unbelievable game awareness. Time, timeouts, where his throw away option is, when to take a sack, etc. I don’t see either guy quite as game aware as Rodgers. But arm and leg talent... they’re similar to AR. I’m a fan of both players.

AR has played a lot of football and been mostly healthy. Those two guys have to pass that test too.

I always considered Watson disciplined like Rodgers too, but this year it seems like he's putting it up for grabs more and getting a few picks - the kind of thing some in here inexplicably want Rodgers to do.

London games have been officiated horribly. I bet small bets on those games so haven’t lost much, but I see a trend. Those games are being officiated differently.

I also notice Monday night games are bad. And then some of the games that aren’t seen by as many people.

The big noon games, big 3:00 games and Sunday night games have been officiated really well.

Worst body language I’ve ever seen by Belichick.

The worst I’ve seen by Brady was the two super bowl losses to the Giants, especially 2007

Belichick prides himself on stopping unique styles of player and offenses. He has no answer tonight. You can see it on his face. If I was team playing the Ravens, I’d go for the ball and hope to win on turnovers. Cuz I don’t know how to stop that either

It was not a good week for Jermaine Whitehead, his Twitter admirers or Jermaines' wallet.
