Come on.....I'm 'ancient' and I think his hair is just fine

I really don't care how he wears his hair but I do think he looks much nicer with shorter hair.

Here's what I'm going to do -- I'm not going to compare every damn thing he does to Favre. Let him forge his own identity. And judge him by his peers in the league, not by the standards set by a friggin legend.

Roll the bones, A-Rod, and let's get after it.

Farve has retired but I am still a Packer Fan. Go Rodgers! Not quite the excitement you're looking for at the QB position (big unknown), but none the less it will be exciting and I will be rooting for him to succeed (with the commen sense not to compare him to Farve).

Who could honestly call themselves a Packer fan that wouldn't cheer for Rodgers?

Heck, the kid's a darn good athlete and he's gotten far more seasoning than any other Tedford QB and has had about as much time to develop as any other first round QB has had in the history of the league. There's no reason to believe he won't take advantage of it.

The one concern is his durability, but backups get hurt with a greater per-snap regularity than starters no matter who they are, so that's not a huge concern.

To me, Rodgers only concern is his durability. I think he has the smarts and the skills needed to be successful in the NFL...and some of that is due to the time he spent under Favre. I think that is where most other Tedford QBs failed...they were thrown to the wolves without a safety net. Rodgers has a solid team around him...and learned the position from one of the best.

Still...the dropoff in terms of experience is going to be a huge factor in 2008. I'm not expecting a certain ride to the postseason.

McCarthy just said that when he called Rodgers to tell him about Brett's decision Rodgers' first response was to ask how Favre was doing, how he was holding up. That speaks a lot about him, IMO.

This kid is mature enough to lead this team, he's got his head in the right place. The only test now is his talent, and, quite frankly, I have confidence in that.

he's got my support, i think he'll do just fine, maybe not as flashy as brett, but he'll do fine

and he's the new QB for my packers, he's the new main guy

I will support Arod and I think he will be better than most expect. I even think 12 wins next year.

I think he'll be an above average QB as long as he doesn't cut off the mullet
