I am very hard-core results based.
As much as I've admired Favre, I've always felt that with his great physical prowess, he should have delivered more than a single Super Bowl.
The stage was set several times, and I came away disappointed with the result.
As undeniably great as he was, he only made it happen once - and that required the best talent in the NFL as support.

        Okay Paul.

How anybody could have followed the Packers the last 17 years and not taken great joy from Brett's career is amazing. I just don't understand people that don't appreciate that. Results based? We probably won't win another title for 32 years. If you don't appreciate the personalties inside the uniform, you're going to be mostly disappointed.

You're like this older version of Justin Harrell (the poster).

          Joy taken.
Durability unquestioned, talent unquestionable, attitude wonderful.
          Just needed championships.

It was a lot easier in the days of 12-16 teams and no free agency. Even a 3 championship dynasty like New England will be very rare in today's NFL.

Judging Favre by the number of Super Bowl rings he has completely misses the mark. Favre was great, but that's not what makes him irreplaceable. Manning and Brady are great, but it is Favre who has been the face of the league for over a decade. Favre didn't do it by doing a hundred commercials, or by hanging around with famous people. Favre became the symbol of the NFL because he just was, and everybody knew it. To appreciate the loss this represents to the NFL, ask yourself this: Who is ready to replace him? The answer is nobody.
