Well, we have Grant now, and Jackson appeared to be "getting it" by the end of the season and was a much more decisive runner so he might have promise. Herron, Morencey, and Wynn are bodies that are likely not worse than anybody we would have drafted in the 5th round are later.Originally posted by woodbuck27I'm very surprized too Vince, that TT didn't pick a RB.
All I see is Grant.
He's likely going to wait like he did last season getting GRANT.
Packers Forever!
I also recall there were a couple of guys that they were high on last training camp that unfortunately suffered season ending injuries, so maybe we'll get something out of one of those guys. But I agree, Grant is the only certain thing that we have going into this year; but then again nobody we took in the draft would have been a sure thing either.
I think the board just didn't fall for us to take a WR. There was nobody who was a good value at RB in any of our day 1 picks and nobody on day 2 seemed a high priority.</delurk>

Right you are! Didn't click and drag far enough! Thanks. Kind of wish Swain had been the kid from Army that the Lions got. He was getting major pub on ESPN and if he stuck with Green Bay would have been a fan favorite, probably a special teams ace.Originally posted by GrnBay007You forgot Swain?Originally posted by Carolina_PackerGreen Bay Packers Draft Picks

Well, how does this draft look to you? Time will tell what the impact is. As many have said, since Green Bay had few needs and not much player movement (save the huge retirement, but had a successor in place of course) there were probably going to be less picks, and less guys who were drafted to have to depend on right away.
Nelson, Lee and Finley make the biggest year one contributions, while the other draftees get into the system and get comfortable."Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." -Daniel Patrick Moynihan

thats gotta be some sort of modern day record
Also, Mike, he may well be a lot crazy.
so 5 white guys, still could be a record

I've been out of town. Can someone summarize what was said in the previous 1100 posts, or do I have to read the whole frickin' thing?I can't run no more

Don't forget to read the Day 1 thread too, and when you're done with that you can take a look at the UDFA thread.Originally posted by JoemailmanI've been out of town. Can someone summarize what was said in the previous 1100 posts, or do I have to read the whole frickin' thing?
Happy reading!
If you want a summary we drafted the following players: Jordy Nelson, Brian Brohm, Patrick Lee, Jermichael Finley, Jeremy Thompson, Josh Sitton, Breno Giacomini, Matt Flynn and Brett Swain.
People tend to like the first five picks, are unsure what to think about the two OL (Sitton and Giacomini), and scratch their heads about the last two picks.</delurk>
