I read (but can't verify right now) that the Packers have 48 hours to make their roster adjustment by adding Favre and releasing someone. Assuming the Commissioner reinstates him today, that gives them to Thursday, at the earliest.

They will bring him in Friday or Saturday for his conditioning tests. Assuming he passes on Friday, they will hold him out of practice on Saturday.
Family night scrimmage is Sunday - Favre won't even dress for it.
      Monday is an off day.
Tuesday is the earliest Favre will practice
I guess I'll have to revise my timetable.
The Packers may have only 24 hours:

Once Favre is granted reinstatement, a step considered a formality, the Packers will have 24 hours to release the star quarterback or return him to their active roster. Green Bay general manager Ted Thompson has said the team will not release Favre.

Oh shit, he really did huh? Bout time he got a taste of his own medicine.

Well it looks like the endgame is near. I have no idea how this is all gonna turn out but if Favre is on the team and a fair competition is not allowed McCarthy will lose major respect IMO.

Dang Patler always spewing out inaccuracies; funny that he busted himself instead of somebody else for once

Well, whatever happens happens. I'm hopefull it takes him a couple weeks to get on the field and we eventually work out a trade.

I had thought that TT, MM would not even allow him in camp due to all the distractions. They have already said they are going with Rodgers. This could be a move to give TT more legitimacy in trade talks with other teams....

Otherwise, couldnt they just ask him to stay home for the good of the team and wait out a move? By the end of the preseason they would either have to have a deal in place or release him.

At this point in the messy, drawn-out saga, I just want resolution be it joining the team, being traded, or being released.

The Packers need to focus on the upcoming season not this Favre situation debacle.

I dont think Favre threw them for a loop all of a sudden, so to speak.

If thats the case then why did TT ask Brett for more time... again as Mortenson reported?

I think TT is fucked and he knows it... no team in their right mind would give up a ton for a guy they know has a possibility of being release and the possibility of he not willing to play for them... TT is now in the bad place and we'll all see how he deals with it.. most likely he will deal with it in a weasly way like hes doing with Ryan Grant
What exactly does that mean? By weasly do you mean businesslike?

I could care less what TT and MM do now. For all I care, they can tell Favre to take laps for the entire practice or have him sit on the sidelines and pick dandelions.

                    LOL LOL LOL
You think this is High School or something?

sorry, i'll remember to "keep it GANGSTA" for u lol

                      WOOHOO!!!
This is great news. If he does come to camp me thinks that all will act very professional and have a good QB competition(which Brett will win) or he'll get traded.
