From four days ago:Originally posted by NewsBruinAlso, there's been mention that GB's talked with the Jets and Bucs, but I've not read anywhere but here that Brett is responsible for nothing happening.
Commissioner Roger Goodell has been monitoring the situation since last week and encouraged the Packers to find a place for Favre to play. The Packers then spoke to about 20 teams about a possible trade, but apparently the teams with which they spoke were not to Favre's liking.

Mad, I think you hit the nail right on the head here, sounds highly logical toOriginally posted by MadtownPackerYou dont get it do you? His list would say he wants to play for the Packers. Yes he only wants to start but that should be somewhat understandable. He wants what he believes is his back and since he can't have that he is fueled by emotion and wants to dish out revenge the only way he really can. By beating the team his likely loves like his own family. He aint doing this because he hates the Packers. He just hates TT and probably M3 too. It really shouldn't be all that surprising that he feels that way. I bet you would feel that way JH.Originally posted by JustinHarrellRight, if Brett really wanted to play he would give a group of teams he wants to play for and accept trades rather than denying them.
Send him to Tampa and get it over with. If he sign for them he signs if not he stays retired.

Hang your sign out Monday morning,
Is it really a halo or

The problem with these "just trade him" solutions people are throwing around is that thethe other team has no interest in wasting their time making a fruitless deal. Tampa is not in the business of solving Green Bays problems.Originally posted by MadtownPackerSend him to Tampa and get it over with. If he sign for them he signs if not he stays retired.
No deal is going to be made unless it is clear that Favre wants the trade.

[quote="Packers4Ever"]I agree with this also. I think Brett is Packers or bust in his thinking. And if he's traded to MN, I can see him retiring so he can turn around and say that this is how much they didn't want me "They traded me to the Vikings!!! when all I wanted to do was play for the Packers - WTF" which puts it right back on TT/MM and their "legacies"Originally posted by MadtownPackerYou dont get it do you? Or not - Who the hell knows!
Does any one else compare this to the OJ Simpson trial as far as the level outrageous level of speculation and drama? We had the white bronco taxiing on the runway this afternoon."When it's third and ten, you can take the milk drinkers and I'll take the whiskey drinkers every time" Max McGee
