Why Fritz?Originally posted by FritzRodgers will be gone as soon as he can get out
Rodgers knows our system and players. He is set up to succeed in Green Bay far more than he would be anywhere else at this point. He still has plenty of football ahead of him. Favre can't play forever...and IMO the chances are about 99% that Rodgers would be the unquestioned starter for the Packers in 2009.
Rodgers would be a dumbass to leave Green Bay because he feels a little slighted. He is being given a fair chance to prove himself as the starting QB. He has the advantage of working all offseason and having a leg up in camp to this point. If he can't beat Favre now, he doesn't deserve to start this season...and Rodgers knows it.My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

I have to agree with Leaper on this. I don't see why it is assumed Rodgers will leave automatically. Rodgers probably won't find any other situation so primed for him to succeed as in GB.Originally posted by The LeaperWhy Fritz?Originally posted by FritzRodgers will be gone as soon as he can get out

I'm sorry, but didn't you and your dumb brother get into a fight at family night?!?Originally posted by footballfeverThank God there's some sense in this F'in forum!!!!!! You should have seen the assholes at family night, booing when rodgers took the field. Brett can take them with him where ever he goes. Bandwagon fairweather fricken idiots, the whole lot of em. Why do you pay admission to a family event at lambeau field just to boo someone who is a victim of very unfortunate circumstance?Originally posted by FritzIf Brett Favre is the starting QB at the beginning of the season with a healthy Aaron Rodgers on the bench, this may well be the beginning of the end of the TT/MM regime.
I really believe that. I think the whole organization is shafting itself both short and long term if Favre trots out against Minny that first game. MM will have lost all credibility, Rodgers will be gone as soon as he can get out, and TT will have lost the handle on the whole thing.
I hope they trade Favre to Minny. I don't care if all they get is a fourth. I think he's poison to this whole organization.

I'd say over $2mil he figured he was getting would be enough reason. Maybe thats why Tedly is hoarding all the cash? Maybe Rodgers is getting a bump?Originally posted by PatlerI have to agree with Leaper on this. I don't see why it is assumed Rodgers will leave automatically. Could be. But, if Rodgers looks at it rationally and not emotionally he wil realize:Originally posted by ZoolI'd say over $2mil he figured he was getting would be enough reason. The Packers can't prevent Favre from returning.
Rodger can't ask for anything more than a chance to win the starting spot.
If he loses the spot, its not the Packers' fault.
He can't expect the team to trade away the better QB.

I agree with that but if I was in his position, after being told and reassured that he would be starting this year, I would be very upset at the prospect of losing out on my starters money.Originally posted by PatlerCould be. Did Flynn complete passes against player number 78 or 79 on the 80 man roster? Pre-season scrimmage and you're talking like this....w/eOriginally posted by prsnfotoOriginally posted by bobbleheadSo how loud are you gonna squeal "it wasn't fair" if rodgers beats him out?

They might have booed because he SUCKED in a f'ing scrimmage against the second team. I want the best QB on the field that is being a true fan you want them to go down with a possibly sinking ship just to keep there word they should have never given?

RODGERS LOOKED BAD AGAINST ALL OF THEM. Flynn did face less quality players true, but he is a rookie think of all the upside he has compared to a old 25 yr. old QB that has been sitting on the bench each year learning all those bad habits from the old guy!Originally posted by ZoolDid Flynn complete passes against player number 78 or 79 on the 80 man roster? True...but then he would have no one to really blame but himself.Originally posted by ZoolI agree with that but if I was in his position, after being told and reassured that he would be starting this year, I would be very upset at the prospect of losing out on my starters money.
Starting spots in the NFL aren't guaranteed...and Rodgers has every chance to win the spot outright, with a leg up even if you consider the situation. My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

I think ANY fan that booed Aaron is shameful!
Aaron had a couple of bad passes but it's early folks. I thought Brian looked pretty good at times last night too.
I'm not in the opinion that Brett 'won' anything, really. All he has to do is convince MM and TT that he is 100% committed to football and if he does he'll be welcomed back with open arms. Brett's waffling about his commitment is/was the main reason MM and company moved forward, really. Brett is gonna have to apologize - especially to TT -for his behavior on TV a few weeks ago. I guess everyone will kiss and make up
and may the best guy win the starters job. Isn't that what we ALL want, the best guy out there to help us win games? So let's back either Brett or Aaron and Go Pack!

They booed his introduction, thats just classless and sad coming from Green Bay fans. Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago that's where that stuff belongs maybe that should be how TT drafts up his list of possibly trade candidates. Assholes love this guy lets send him to a city full of them!Originally posted by prsnfotoOriginally posted by footballfeverThank God there's some sense in this F'in forum!!!!!!
