  • You mean losing to the best team in the league as opposed to the Packers who will be 1-1 losing to about the 12th best team in the league arguably.

        • On a side not, I was going to take one of the Jet WR's in my fantasy league Jerico whatever hsi name is but he got snatched up before I could pick.

I think Favre is going to have a very up and down season with spectacular plays and bone headed plays but through it all he will give his WR's chances to make a ton of plays even if it's at the expense of his INT total. I don't think the Jets are good enough to overcome turnover filled football but the WR's dont' suffer from that and as such I think those two starting WR's are two fantasy steals in a lot of drafts (just not fantasy drafts with packer 14 packer fans that want Favre guys)

IMO Favre's head is not in the right place right now. If the Packers come out firing and the Jets struggle he is going to quickly get pissed off, go home at night with a very bad attitude toward the people he feels wronged him and then show up on Sunday with a "this sucks" attitude like in 2005. I hope, over the long haul, he just looks in the mirror and realizes nobody was out to get him, nobody hates him and just become a better person from the struggles. Where his head is at right now and with the entitlement his fame and money affords him, I just don't think he's going to be humbled any time soon. Unfortunatly for the Jets, I think that might be a part of why they don't get the best Favre has to offer.

Some of you are just little bitches that are still so angry that Favre retired (Nutz calling Favre realists bitches)

echoed so people get it through their heads. (Partial insinuating people are too dumb to understand)

Sorry all you know it alls, but Brett is just being human, as always! (LWCA calling people “know it alls”)

Just listen to all the pricks around here that bitch and complain they don't want to talk about Favre, because he is gone or whatever. These same know-it-all assclowns are the first ones posting on favre threads sullying his name. I say fuck them all, who are they to tell me or anyone else what to type on the fucking internet. (LWCA calling people pricks, assclowns, saying fuck us, etc. . .)

            PR PR PR PR PR.

Rodgers isn't going to help anyone take his job and take his payday. Don't be that ignorant. Would you? (Partial calling SC ignorant for believing Rodgers).

After reading this thread ask yourself a couple questions:

            1. Who is bitter, angry and can't let go; Favre lovers that are doing the name calling or Favre realists who are telling Favre to let it go?

            2. Who is bringing this forum down with nasty insults at fellow posters who happen to disagree?
Excuse me, but what the fuck is a "Favre Realist"?

I have let go, I understand and support the fact that the Packer best option at QB in 2008 is playing for the Jets, you can't get any more real than that.

            Favre Realist? Really????

            • It's OK, Nutz. Let it go, man. Find a new idol. Enjoy football again. Life is too short to be this angry over something so trivial.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad it's over but when Brett does this you can't help but shake your head a little. I hope for the best with him, but his head seems to be in a pretty bad spot. Hopefully he can go back to enjoying that great live he has and not dwelling on how people did him wrong when the season is over. For the Jets sake hopefully he moves on by the time the season starts.

Seriously, what the hell is a "Favre Realist"? You are one goofy bastard.

I am sure Favre decided to do one last interview on the subject before the start of the season so it wouldn't continue to be a distraction to him and the team. I am sure it probably felt good for him to get things off his chest, and hopefully it is over. I don't need to listen to him or hear him talking about the situation and the break up with the Packers anymore, I don't get excited when Favre speaks out about it. Just like I don't care to listen to all you bitch about how Favre has done the Packers wrong.

                • Really? Earlier in this thread you sounded pretty pissed off. Why do you favre lovers feel such a need to hide your feelings on the matter? You're quite obviously angry at anyone who doesn't understand the way Brett was mistreated the way you understand it.

It's over. The Packers did what they felt was best for the Packers. Favre is gone. Forever (thank Ted). Can't you just be happy the whole drama is over and enjoy the team you claim to be a fan of while not calling people who disagree with you bitches or goofy bastard or whatever you just called me?

We agree to disagree. I call a Favre realist someone who looks at the reality of the situation with sound reasoning and an open mind. To me, you are someone who uses their love for his idiol as the center piece of your persecution and betrayal theory. With that, you are what I call a Favre lover. It should be considered a badge of honor for your unwavoring loyalty. Wear it proudly.

                          • Sounds like this forum needs something similar to the Camp David Accords.

Jimmy Carter is still alive and he might be willing to mediate a truce between Packer fans on the Favre matter. We could hold it at Camp Randall.

But then again - Sadat and Begin are both dead and Israel and Palestine are still fighting each other 30 years after signing the agreement.

The season can't start soon enough. It's been a long and emotional off season to say the least. Packers have the best fans in the world. I like
coming to this forum for insight I can't get anywhere else. I love the humor and sarcasm as well.

As a famous American once said "Can't we all just get along?"

                              .
Helping younger people out is a very admirble quality. But I mostly agree with you, Favre's job is to be a QB, not a QB coach, and it is not in his nature to be a mentor. You can't force people to be something they are not.
On that same note (I actually agree with your point) , Favre's job was to be QB not GM.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Thompson said he was aware of the critical comments made recently by former quarterback Brett Favre, but declined to comment on them directly. “I’ll say this and we’ve said this before: We wish Brett the best and we are trying to get ready for the start of the season,” Thompson said. . . .
