it's part of being "the man". i don't think you pull him just to stand on the sidelines and think about it. you keep him out there to fight.

Kampman, Jolly (if he gets his head on straight), Pickett, Jenkins

Maybe Thompson becomes something. He's really young. Harrell has about a 1% chance. These are prospects though. Right now they're junk.



In order to really excel with Dlineman like the ones we have, you need several of them. Last year we had Jenkins, Kampman, Jolly, PIckett, Williams and KGB all playing really well early. That is 6 compared to 4 this year (three after the Jenkins injury). Along with that we had Cole rotating in there to keep everyone fresh and they really played well early in the year. After the injuries we started dropping games and eventually flamed out. The moral of the story is that you need 6 or 7 really good defensive lineman IMO or 4 great ones and some average backups. We were way to thin. After one injury our defense was junk.

I won't go jumping off a cliff saying, "it will never be fixed", but I'm at the point where we better have a major shake up next year. Maybe it's a long term shakeup with a couple high draft picks or maybe it's through FA, but we can't go in with this group next year and act like everything is fine.

Its weird, we have stunk in two road games indoor on some type of turf. Looked slow both games. In between, we take apart a reasonably good Bears team and look faster and more athletic.

Somewhere in between, we are pretty damn mediocre.

It seems the top three North teams have issues....so who wins? Should be a wild ride.

Should be interesting to see who wins the right to get smoked by a wild card team at home.

Never can be sure. You gotta get in.

Clearly both lines are the serious issue heading into the offseason. I would hope we'd see a couple FA signings along with some solid draft picks in this area.

I didn't like GJ's game. He had a few where he looked lazy in not coming to the ball. He had one solid catch in near mop up situation.

Sure, the open missed TD was Aaron's bad throw - but you gotta catch that.
