  • Story of the late game is no pass rush. If you have Fitzgerald double covered and then let Waner have six seconds to throw, Fitz will be open, somewhere.

That and like the Indy run D two years ago, somehow the Cardinals have discovered a run game in the last two weeks.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

    • Flat out ass kicking thus far.

      • That INT opens the door for Carolina. The Carolina offense actually has to accomplish something though.

          • when things go bad they go real bad. Fluke pick for ARZ.

            • That was a funny and entertaining argument between the announcers about whether the Arizona D-line or the Carolina O-line were offsides.

Yes it was...and it's sad picks like that are going to run Jake out of town.

Not so much a fluke, but a really questionable play by Smith. It's never a good idea for the WR to tip the ball up into the air when he's surrounded by defenders. Nothing good will happen, particularly on 2nd down.

                  • I may be the only person still watching that game, but that was a terrible play by either the Delhomme or Mushin on 4th down, possibly both.

                    • Saints hired Bill Johnson, the Falcon's 3-4 D line coach that some thouhtwas the herald of Mike Nolan's arrival.

                        Yeah... just saw that.

Think Jake will get ripped as bad as Favre has?

                              • Possibly harder. When Favre threw his 7 picks, we still loved the guy and figured "sometimes you have a bad game". I don't know if the Carolina faithful have quite as much affection for their QB.

The thing I'm curious about is how much do the (presumable) losing teams here panic after the upsets today? I know Tennessee has a couple of big decisions about "What do we do at the QB position?" and "What do we do about Haynesworth?". I'm not sure how much Carolina is going to panic though.
