If he pleads guilty to any or all charges before the season, there would be a suspension. If it's going to go to trial, NFL might not do anything until the legal process plays out.

a. How do we check out the girlfriend who isn’t named? You got a source?

b. The odds this tanks his career are minimal. This just makes Jacob’s and the Packers look bad. Abusers get to play all the time. Look at several of the Chiefs, Ray Rice, etc.

c. The idea you can pick out an abuser because they seem the angry type is the dumbest thing I’ve read in weeks.

But, I went back to the original report I saw. ... These things can range from cover ups by NFL to completely fabricated allegations.

However, I will say the initial report does not look good. If true, his career is sunk. I'll still wait for more confirmation.

edit: I'm a gonna revise my take above. Had they arrested him Saturday, he wouldn't have been arraigned til today (Tues because of Memorial Day). Likely the officer (and HQ) let Jacobs turn himself in today. If it were really serious, I don't think they put off the arrest. But who knows how that Court/PD operates: I've seen so much absolute, crazy corruption and shit (myself and close friends), it could be anything.
