    The Rams can get out of Garrett's contract with no dead money after the 2027 season if they so desire. So really that is the reason for the xtra trade compensation and it really is a great trade for the Browns. In 2027 they can shed Watson's contract with a post June 1 designation.

      Not sure why you pay extra to get out of a contract when you have a generational talent. In no world do they want to cut bait after 2 seasons. Also, they didn't have to pay the big upfront bonus, Cleveland did.

        Unless you believe in Simpson as a top flight talent at QB, they could be rebuilding.
        Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
