That sort thinking is what’s called, “blind homerism,” which can be defined as “an extreme, unreasoning bias where a sports fan, commentator, or analyst stubbornly defends their favorite team despite overwhelming evidence or facts proving they are wrong.”

Heck, the 7th seed into the playoffs has Lafleur deserving a coach of the year nomination or a statue plopped up between Lambeau and Lombardi.

In the end fans are entitled to their opinions but “bad luck and injuries” are excuses that won’t wash with this Packer fan.

I'd be willing to credit this argument more if it wasn't the third 7th seed in a row. So its not been just a run of injuries in one year.

I can't find the % of drives that ended in a score. However, Packers D allowed 2.26 points per drive, which ranked 23rd.

That is close enough. So our defense was the bottom 10 in effectiveness and Halfwit got a HC gig. We improved, trust me.

On the negative side:
Nixon and Valentine are not good enough.
Morgan hasn't looked good in OTA, so may well not be an upgrade over Walker.
Smack has looked inconsistent in OTA.
Lack of TE depth will prevent them from using effective multi TE plays.

I know it's heard or read several reports of Morgan getting beat by various players in OTAs. It's possible some of them were 1v1 which favors the pass rusher. I'm happy he's looked a lot better in camp.

What I have seen is he is looking good. Van Mess has beaten him a few times, he has responded well. As I said, sounds like they are elevating each other. Morgan is a normal LT run blocker. Gets in the way, walls off. Its part of the reason I didn't see him as a guard.

To me, we go as far as our oline can take us, assuming we have league average injury luck.
last year was the worst oline play since 2005, and it showed once ouon best te was injured and our wr room. Got beat up.
on paper we improved every where it feels, plus we are getting lots back from injury.
we can, and should, go deep.

Upnorth, I think you're the second one to post that. No no no. I don't buy that at all. This team will go far (assuming we don't again get the extreme bad luck of injuries like last year) NOT because of anything to do with our probably mediocre O Line, but because of our plethora of top level skill position talent. QB quality and mobility and great receivers virtually negate pass blocking blunders. High quality RBs can do well with just the bare minimum of decent line blocking.
