I wonder, how many of the people who are terribly concerned about the state of the defensive line going into 2009 were also terribly concerned about the TE, FB, and WR corps position going into 2007. Since, if I remember correctly, a lot of people were terribly unhappy that Thompson did nothing to fill those holes at about this point during the Free Agency period (Justin Griffith anybody?), but we still seemed to do pretty well at TE, FB, and WR in the 2007 season.

It's entirely possible that football fans and "professional football talent evaluators and coaches" see the state of the Packers defensive line in slightly different lights.

I mean, we could use depth, anybody can see that, but even Olshansky'st $4.5 million/year for 4 years is a lot to pay for depth. Not many NFL teams pay >$3 million per year to sign a backup.

      Great point about the WR's
Our fullbacks are still nothing special
But you are right; anything is entirely possible

I don't think many of us were thinking Igor was a backup; now the rest of the bodies would certainly qualify IMO.

I do think TT will cut the duct tape enclosing his wallet again to bring in some more blue light specials to compete.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Well, now that Igor's gone, I really hope they show some interest in Holliday. He's high character, experienced in the scheme and seams to still have something left in the tank. The kicker is he's a guy who actually wants to come here. They may not have to outbid everyone by $1 mil to convince him to come.

          Yep.

He’s best known for guaranteeing a Steelers win against the then-unbeaten Patriots in Week 14 of that season, however, and playing poorly in a 34-13 Patriots victory.

We'll see what he learned from that fiasco. It was a real un-Steeler thing to do. Bet Tomlin got in his ass after that one.

Wow after reading the JS article...Snake is floored we beat KC to the punch as the last NFL team to sign a FA. Let's just hope this guy is not as stupid as Javon Walker. What happened to that Wonderlic phenom?

Either way...Hennesey on Snake for TT's FA bonanza party. I got the Limo rented out with Drew Berrymore for Fritz.

Joe Arrigo has it a good source over on PackerChatters it's 100% confirmed there will be SEVERAL (his quote, not Snake's) drunken celebratory parade floats going on in GB tomorrow for this amazing Reggie White type move. Also, on rapport with Bedard, former Packer great Cletidius Hunt will be at the float signing autographs for the celebration.

We going BIG TIME baby! Let the party start...TT's making BIG MOVES with that gangsta lean yo:

BTW...Kool Keith is the man (1:20-2:03)..seen that cat in concert many times over the past 10 years...Just amazing...best MC EVER..just saying...Snake is serious here and loves his raps old school. Keith is the man.
Snake's Twitter comments would be LEGENDARY.........if I was ugly or gave a shit about Twitter.

                    SAFTEY

This guy was signed because ANOTHER Ted Thompson draft pick was WASTED. It look's like the Rouse "experiment" at saftey is now over. Not surprising as most scouts believed the only way Rouse would be of value is to be converted to LB, but once again, Teddy thought he knew better.

                    Ok, let the excuses begin!

Rouse.....really? If anything, I figured Peprah would be gone. Where'd you hear Rouse?

                        Good catch, Wood.

TT will undoubtedly draft a S in the second round, and cut Rouse; and a WR in the 2nd round, and cut Jones; and an OT/G in the 2nd round and cut Spitz...

Okay, Wist, I'd like to save this post so at the end of camp we can see if the prediction comes true. Clearly, I doubt it will. And why is Rouse a "waste" after two seasons? So said many on this site after Collins's second year...and Sharper's....
