I still ascribe or subscribe - which word is grammatically correct, Prof Fritz? - to the notion that you don’t use premium picks on Yokozunas, but the game last week has me stressed out about the current state of the milksop Yokozunas. Hades-forbid, this season could be a carbon copy of Ted Thompson’s first season as GM. Recall how Thompson dismantled the outstanding OL Wolf built - and Sherman kept intact - by getting rid of Wahle and Rivera? Klemm and Whitticker were abominations!

This season’s team appears full of Klemms and Whittickers. The guards suck. Morgan sucks. Zack Whatever needs to go back to being Zach Tom cos Whatever sucked harder than my gay friend in week 1.
Your good examples were mostly overrated - they were not the reason for the quality running game and the lack of sacks they get credit for.

As bad as the O Line was Sunday, we still had some quality runs and a LOT of good pass plays. The massive pass rush only came after the Goddamned officials gave the pathetic Vikings a shred of hope. I agree 100% that you shouldn't draft those yokozumas, especially not the offensive ones early in the draft. We could, however, use better O Line coaching. As somebody said, Stenavich was a fairly decent O Line coach. I think they call that "the Peter Principle" - people tend to be promoted to their level of incompetence. He's a prime example of that.

Usually you only see games played that clean when Tom Brady is QBing the team. (thats sarcasm tex, I know you struggle with it).
The hit to Love's helmet with a hand and then the same player hitting him facemask to facemask as he threw was an egregious miss of a 15 yard penalty. McClellan's wasn't a penalty but from the ref's point of view he landed on him and he could not see the Viking O lineman pushing him. That's one huge miss and one regular miss, the rest were middling errors.

Here's a suggestion for the Leviathon, if you don't jump offside on an offense trying to kill the clock at the end of the half you don't run the risk of giving up 7 points on a hail mary.

Two good things on the talent side:

        1. Cisse looked like he belonged. Got beat once on a tough matchup on a free play but otherwise was solid as a starter. Putting Valentine on the bench is a good development.

        2. The Texans of all teams took a player off the Packers practice squad for their D line. Unlike the Dolphins who are just trying to fill out a roster that won't get Malik killed, the Texans have talent on D and this speaks to the depth the Packers created in the offseason.

Gute obvious still has work to do on the offensive line as the last round of FA was a bust leaving a major hole at Guard and the coaching staff have a LT in his third year making his 3rd start at LT next Sunday. His twin terrible drafts earlier this decade meant they were shelling out FA bucks to fill holes. But the talent pipeline seems like it might be running again.

Before I get blasted by replies, the OLine situation is probably a fire-able offense for both Gute and LaFleur when you are paying Jordan Love big money and he's playing like he might be worth it. Ron Wolf said you can't put stumblebums in front of your franchise QB and the Packers have for 2 years running.

And Gannon doing what was promised. Multiple fronts out of both base and nickel. Its a good start. I highly recommend this one to see what Gannon is trying to do to match personnel AND play intention.

Stenavich might be the worst hiring since Nathaniel Hackett. Maybe MiLF surrounds himself with idiots so he looks better. I try to hang out with ugly guys who got no game so I can get laid so I'm only mildly criticizing him here. APB, when we going out for a beer?
