Jayden Reed will have season-ending surgery. MLF does not think it is career-ending.

Neck injuries are no joke. I hope he can come back, but you never know. We've seen more than one neck injury end a player's career, or at least their time with the Packers.
Could the Packers trade for Ty Herro from the Bucks? I reckon, Herro could play both receiver and corner.
Trade for some hockey players. Those guys are tough. Or trade for soccer players. Those guys suffer what appear to be horrendous injuries, but recover in a minute.

Hockey players are tough? Since when? They wear skates, for fuck’s sake!
And soccer players? lol. I actually watched some of the last World Cup and I saw players faking injuries left and right.

Getting WRs just ain't that hard to find. I'm glad we used a high pick on Watson - who has the potential to be an all time great, Golden not so much. I look around at what a LOT of teams have at WR who weren't drafted nearly as high, and I - the GOAT homer - tend to see many others better than Golden.
I assume the Packers will use Sky Moore the way they woulda used Reed at least until Savion is available. I WISH they would use Golden in that role, and promote Sturtevant and Neyor - excellent examples of WRs coming out of nowhere to be very good.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

J-Mike coulda returned, but he opted to walk away with the $10M tax-free insurance payout.
Meanwhile, I still can’t quit burger flipping despite being more miserable than Bobble after a Packer loss.

And Shields played one ineffective season elsewhere after sitting a full year. Tim Lewis and Sterling Sharpe and Nick Collins never played again. As well as Terrence Murphy who's career was over before it started. I'm sure there are others, and every team probably has lists like this. There have been some players that come back from neck or spinal injuries, but not a whole lot of them. Neck injuries are serious and very good at ending careers.
Whoever has to try and block Vita Vea will likely be in this thread next week.

Shields was a concussion issue I think. At least it was originally.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Don't forget Nelson Toburen......... OK, you probably can't forget him because you never knew him. Linebacker, injured his neck in his first career start and never played again. That was in 1962. Lombardi said he would have been a great one.

Actually, I think JS had an article on him years ago. I did forget his name which it part of the reason I was sure there were others.
Not hopeful for Reed's return.
Not hopeful for ZBB's return.
Ever or this season? ZBB should be able to recover for next camp I would think. Unless he ends up getting Sherroded or Bakhtiaried. Reed you have to wonder. Neck injuries have ended many careers.

Ever, for Reed.
Ever as the same player for ZBB, and maybe ever at all. Return from patellar tendon repair is not as routine as ACLs, for example. I understand ZBB is having surgery on the same one he had surgery on this offseason after the partial tear last year. Two procedures on the same one.....
