Naturally, you'd think this will be some kind of 38 - 35 game, which means the final score will be like 14 - 12.

It'll be interesting to see how the Packer defense holds up in this one.

I don't know what to make of our team, but it would seem Gutes fixed the guards problem (not letting him off the hook for it being a problem to start with). However, losing Tom again is a problem. Belton needs to play inspired and he strikes me as any other big athletic guy with a not good enough motor. If he were like Mike Wahle, whose offseason workouts were legendary, I'd be predicting All Pro for him. Sadly he seems more like Albert Haynesworth. If I'm betting on anyone one player to disappoint this week he's the one. I hope I'm wrong. He played up to his talent against the hated Bears, but I bet the entire OL was shown clip after clip of Booker taking cheap head shots at Love. Will he be inspired this week?

I'm interested in Belton right now. He's had 2 pretty solid games in a row, albeit against less than elite edge rushers. Hope he makes Gary disappear Sunday night.

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

The Cowboys absolutely stunk last week against Tampa. Hopefully, they will again (yeah, I always say they're my second favorite team. but a distant second behind the Packers). They did what many of ya'all seemingly would like the Packers to do: went all in for O Line players, and it really hasn't made much difference, just as mediocrity for the Packers really hasn't made much difference. It's all about your skill players. I think the Packers will match up well with the Cowboys skill players. Their RBs are nothing special, so hopefully that weakness the Packers show at times against the run won't happen. Their receivers are elite, but despite the not very good Corners of the Packers, they seem to do well against the passing game. And the Cowboys D has ranged from barely adequate to horrendous. We should be able to run on them some and pass on them a lot. I HOPE LaFleur learned something last week about unleashing Love and not over-emphasizing early down runs and those damn little sideways passes.

We should win this game - in a shoot out if the Cowboys bounce back or comfortably if they continue to flounder.

Another thing in our favor, they're coach, Schottenheimer, is a total dumbass. I always hated his father, Marty, and the son is just as bad.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Dallas has a very good offense
                GB has a good offense

Dallas has a very bad defense
                GB has a good defense

Dallas is rested but this is at home for GB.
I'd think a shootout, and I'd expect GB to be favored, but who knows. I feel like GB is so inconsistent I don't know what they'll be like week to week.

Lamb and Pickens will be the best pair of WR's the Packers defense has faced this year (except for Watson and Golden in practice). Need to get after Dak.

I'm not ready to call our offense good after one game against a bad defense. But getting the 2 guards was a coupe, and if Zeitler is ready we turned a weakness into a strength in a hurry.

Facing Dak Prescott will be the biggest challenge the Packers defense has faced this year. Thus far the QB's they have faced are:

                      Kyler Murray/Carson Wentz
                      Geno Smith
                      Michael Penix
                      Jalon Daniels
                      Tyson Bagent/Case Keenum

Not practicing are Keisean Nixon, Benjamin St-Juste, Skyy Moore, and Javon Hargrave. Jordon Riley is practicing. He suffered an Achilles injury late last season.

                            Short cornerback alert:

                            Huber at si.com

However, they did make a noteworthy exception to the rule by signing cornerback Elijah Culp to the practice squad following a Monday workout, a source confirmed what originally was reported by Easton Butler.

                            ….

Culp ended his college career at James Madison. At pro day, he measured only 5-foot-9 3/4. That’s just fractionally taller than Ahmad Carroll, the Packers’ first-round pick in 2004. He was 5-foot-9 5/8. Carroll was a bust and the Packers haven’t taken another corner shorter than 5-foot-10 since.
                            …

Released Josh Gesky OG. Seems like return game insurance first and maybe Nixon injury insurance?

Packers could be down to 4 on interior DL if Campbell can't go. They do have someone named David Blay, Jr on the PS.

The Green Bay Packers signed DT David Blay Jr. to the practice squad on Sept. 30, 2026.

Blay (6-2, 292), a rookie out of the University of Miami (Fla.), was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots, but was released in training camp and went on to spend the rest of camp with the Philadelphia Eagles. In college, he played 46 games for West Chester (2021-22), Louisiana Tech (2023-24) and Miami (2025), earning first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2024.
