Pedescleaux is still on the board, and this is a good spot for him.

    completely on board with this

for good karma I'll predict this guy

backup is Clemons although Packnut likes him far more than I

I'd be happy with Pedescleaux. It's all about need.

If you are all for need you gotta love this pick cause our FB's were weak
YUP! FB was a position of need. I remember watching an LSU game (my favorite CFB team) where he just flat out pancaked a LB and I sat up and said "DAMN".

He doesn't ever run the ball or catch the ball but he's powerful." Backed up Jacob Hester for two seasons before starting in '08. Finished with 16 carries for 34 (2.1) and three TDs and five catches for 54. "Big man," another scout said. "He attacks you and has some power."

              • Bills took Nic Harris, a 234 pound safety. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2009/profil...arris?id=71323

I wonder if he's really going to play safety.

                • Sitton is a big guy. Lang is a big guy. It sounds like our smallest guy, Wells, is on the way out. Now they draft this bruiser at FB. Raji is a brute. Matthews is a tough, nasty kid.

Something tells me the Packers are a little more serious about being a tough football team than some people give them credit. Sounds like this guy is a mauler. I look forward to seeing some big time blocks out of our new FB.

                  • GB had the punter from SMU in; he's got a rocket for the leg.......but...from what I've read he may not be a good guy. But they might roll with this guy soon. They probably brought him in to test his character concerns. My gut tells me they wanted the P from Cincy but he was swiped a few picks before

                    THOMAS MORSTEAD Southern Methodist 6-4 225 6-7
Handled punting and FG duties from 2006-'08. "He has the most up side," one coach said. "Great size. Pretty strong. Physically, he is what you want." Averaged 43.4 on 166 punts and made 69.8% of FGs (37 of 53). Scored 37 on the Wonderlic intelligence test and can be a little hard to be around. "Just talking to him, I was expecting more," another coach said. "I guess I was a little disappointed."

                      I think that's fairly obvious.

You do realize there is also a risk/reward at every round?

                        • The selection of Quinn shows the Packers really are transitioning away from the ZBS. The power gap requires more of a lead blocker at FB.

                          • Bretsky, who is this guy from Cinci that you have a woody for? He's a punter for crying out loud.

Then again, I remember Badgers versus FSU where their punter was a straight up hoss and should have been MVP of the game. He was awesome.

                            Is that guy available?
