I have a ticket for the game tonight, but came down with some strange virus (I hope) over the weekend. They have been tapping me for blood all day, so I figured I would be better off on my couch in the basement than spreading my germs around the Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome*.

I bought some of this stuff over the weekend, so if they win, I may have to celebrate with one (sickness be damned).....

Nyquil with a chaser of Capitol Ale got me through many a sickness. If that didn't work, I used Hibernol.

Go to Sportsman's to drink your Grain Belt. Tell 'em Mraynrand sent you. This is the shithole I used to go to in my college days. The Vikings fans were total assholes, but there was nothing I could do about it. Randy Wright was fainting in the goddam huddle for chrissakes. But at least you can get drunk for about $1.50.

I've driven by this place several times but never gone in. Was it a decent shithole, or just a shithole? Nothing wrong with a good dive bar...

Mraynrand, you may remember Mannings just done the road. It's still there, and still a solid place for a pregame meal, I've gone there a half dozen or so times. Doesn't look like they've changed anything in there since the 50's 'cept the prices. I'll bet Mr. Crusty would be a fan of the place.

It's been so long, I can't remember. Possibly because I was both drunk and disgusted with the horrible Packer losses - followed by 3 word Forrest Gregg post game comments: "You saw it."

P.S. Crusty can eat where ever he wants. I hope he chokes on his spicy food. That guy is a total asshole.

I used to live 3 blocks from where that picture was taken. On 24th (I believe, been almost 15 years). Turn off Como, hit the first left (that angled road), up two blocks, and on the right.

There is a bar across the street, directly to the left when looking at that picture, correct (I liked their food better)?
