  • Official Tampa Bay Game Day Thread

Well since no one else started it...

I know folks like to think that this game will be a walk in the park, but it's still the NFL and the "any given Sunday" rule is always in effect.

Wells is now the starter at center, and we've had to call folks up off the practice squad this week as we're looking a little banged up.

Hopefully Ahman gets some carries today and Aaron stays upright.

Let's bring home a win, boys!

The weather could be a factor; steady breeze of 17 mph with gusts over 25.

The forecast [from yesterday] calls for it to be as bad or worse by kickoff.

Is the forecast still this windy?

Windy? Probably. It is pretty breezy down here. How bad is Tampa at stopping the run? We should all be happy it isn't hot like it has been. 83° may seem hot but it has been brutal here all autumn with highs in the upper 80s and 90s with a dew point to match!

another bye week this week; terrible weather, if it is, will benefit the team with very limited talent IMO

GB wins this one by at least 14 if they play below average

Tampa Bay; I'm kind of sick of the cupcakes. Hard to get up for this game but a win is a win is a win. I'm looking forward to seeing how we compete the rest of the year. Rams, TB, and Detroit. You can put those Wins in the column before we even play. They are that horrid.

I get to see maybe three Packer games a year on television. IF this one were on tv here - which it won't be - I would be glued to the set.

And why wouldn't you want to watch the Packers play well and win big?

Perhaps I'm getting too old; I want to see good competitive gams as well as a Packer win.

I agree, I mean I will watch the game, but I'm having a hard time getting up for this game. Maybe I gotta go take my Packer Viagra or something.

Just live somewhere where you rarely get to see the Packers. Then you'll appreciate every game.

Man, this game matters, guys. This offensive line needs to get its shit together, and how better to begin to do that than against a team with smallish defensive tackles?

A good strong showing will give this team a little - just a little more confidence. This would be big for next week.

A loss, and this team may well start to get into that "here we go again" thing - and we'd end up with another 6-10 type season. And then MM will possibly be gone.

                      It's an important game.

If I knew how to make a DVD off of a DVR recording, I'd send it to ya...

Anybody know how? Do I hook it up through the laptop and if so, how? Once I capture it, the rest is easy.

I've been capturing the live feed using Final Cut Express. An entire game in HD goes about 35gb. Once I compress into QT, I can get it down to less than 4 gb. I've been recording this thing 'short cuts' off direcTV. They just show all the plays with nothing between. Thing goes about 30 min, but there are no replays and no other angles - but it's fast and only records at 6gb in HD. Compression is a bit better. There is a way to get the files off the DVR, but it requires an expensive converter and process that I saw posted recently. If I find the link, I'll post it (this could use a new thread, but I don't know if it violates the forum rules). If Harlan were here and had written them, we could ask him for a ruling.
