Very funny, Partial.Originally posted by mraynrandI've been capturing the live feed using Final Cut Express. An entire game in HD goes about 35gb. Once I compress into QT, I can get it down to less than 4 gb. I've been recording this thing 'short cuts' off direcTV. They just show all the plays with nothing between. Thing goes about 30 min, but there are no replays and no other angles - but it's fast and only records at 6gb in HD. Compression is a bit better. There is a way to get the files off the DVR, but it requires an expensive converter and process that I saw posted recently. If I find the link, I'll post it (this could use a new thread, but I don't know if it violates the forum rules). If Harlan were here and had written them, we could ask him for a ruling.Originally posted by MJZiggyIf I knew how to make a DVD off of a DVR recording, I'd send it to ya...Originally posted by FritzI get to see maybe three Packer games a year on television. IF this one were on tv here - which it won't be - I would be glued to the set.
And why wouldn't you want to watch the Packers play well and win big?
Anybody know how? Do I hook it up through the laptop and if so, how? Once I capture it, the rest is easy."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

I use an HD-PVR from Hauppauge. I just bought it for this year so I can make HD recordings of all the games. It is expensive though and 200 bucks, but I find it worth every penny.Originally posted by MJZiggyIf I knew how to make a DVD off of a DVR recording, I'd send it to ya...Originally posted by FritzI get to see maybe three Packer games a year on television.
