Every time I see this photo I yell for Brett to look left or center. He's got 3 open receivers and one that's basically covered except for a solid outside throw.
Start showing those neo-Favre lovers this picture.....Amnesty International should really be pulled into the situation if this happens.
What are those Green lineman doing in that picture? Isn't it quite mean to get in the way of all those nice gentleman in the White, Blue and Red?
I thought the same thing last night after posting it. Once you are done seeing the open guys out there, you notice something else we have not seen lately......a pocket with a man standing there looking (well, in this case at one guy) down field.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

No shit. Even when they don't get to Rodgers, the linemen get pushed right into Rodgers. I can barely remember the last time Rodgers had that much space in front of him to step and and throw. I wonder how much of him holding the ball has to do with having almost no throwing lanes.

"Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck
I find it very funny that you packrats lay all the blame for that loss on Favre. Did'nt Crosby miss at least one FG? What about B Jackson's inability to follow his blockers on a screen pass that could have gone for 6? Was it Bigby who failed to dive on a muffed punt allowing McQuarters to recover it?
I know QB is the most important position but football is still a team sport. The Packers lost that game and had many chances to put it away.
Favre was some kind of mythical hero the week before while killing the Eagles and throwing snowballs at his fellow teammates. Now Packer fans wait with baited breath to utter the words "I told you so." To be expected, I know, when he plays for the enemy, but it seems the average Packer fan is more excited about the idea of Favre losing than the Packers winning.
Minnesota Vikings
NFC North Champions 2008 and 2009.

>implying that we lay ALL the blame on him.
But last I checked, Brett got all the credit for our wins. Brett was the leader of our team and, according to most media dunderheads (as well as most Viking fans these days) an all-time legend who could take the team on his back.
So why did he fail to do so, so often, in the playoffs? What happened to "the legend" when the games were on the line?

Favre may be History's Greatest Monster, but even he would not hunt and kill a protected bird. I think beating the Seahawks would be enough excitement for one week.

Why do you guys have to keep up this hater bs? Have any of you conisdered the fact that to lose in the playoffs several times you have to get IN the playoffs to begin with? As bitter as several of the endings where it was better than ending the season in week 17.

I don't see you pointing to any other player as the reason the Packers lost.
Perhaps he failed, in part, because of the players around him.
Team sport.

That doesn't answer the question. It doesn't resolve the issue.
Brett was called a legend. We were told that he "put the team on his back"
What, did his back suddenly get sore in the playoffs? Why couldn't this "god" - this "legend" - handle the pressure when the game was on the line.
Al Harris had a bad game. Ryan Grant had a bad game. But with the game on the line and a QB that so many said they would take with the game on the line over ANYONE, he came up short so many times, when it mattered.
This is the question that continues to plague me. If he put the Packers on his back and took a bunch of scrubs to the playoffs, then why was he one of the worst players on our team, in some of those playoff games. 6 INTs against St, Louis? That Falcons game? What the hell?

There is no question to answer and there is no issue. Unless you have one within yourself but i cant call that. Yes he did put the team on his back and he failed at times. I dont recall any of the great QBs from the last 10 yrs of SB winners doing it all themselves. They all had strong team that won together.
The Rams game was a mess but you have got to be fucking smoking fat rocks if you want to put the ATL loss at Lambeau on anyone. That team was doomed with injuries before the playoffs even started.
