    Did Ahman even play today?
    No.

Here's what I've been wondering, though: is it a coincidence that Grant and BJack have looked better since Batman came aboard?[/quote]

No. I think Grant especially has been running well ever since Green came back home.

How many years in a row have we struggled the first handful of games, then turned it around? Grant is what he is. He's not elite, but he's good enough to get the job done. I see him like I see Donald Lee. Neither guy is as sucky as some make them out to be. Would you rather have an elite player? Sure, but you aren't going to have elite at every position and they are good enough to win with.

Please don't compare Donald Lee to any other Packer. I don't see how they could be playing at Donald's low level.

He has had a lot of drops the last 4 weeks.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I'm only speculating, but since we can't actually practice backside cut blocks it makes sense we aren't ready to execute them when the season starts. As the guys get more comfortable dropping guys on the backside Grant gets more comfortable actually cutting back when need be.

I think that is at least part of the reason we start so slow.

I don't buy that Green has made a big difference in Grant, in 2007 Green wasn't around and Grant looked pretty stellar making one cut and running downhill, I think the timing is coincidence....and BJack simply got healthy finally (and playing time)

The young stud TE from Texas looked good again this week. Is he totally healthy now?
Snake's Twitter comments would be LEGENDARY.........if I was ugly or gave a shit about Twitter.

Grant looks like a different player since Green joined the roster. Don't know why that is but its likely a combination of competition getting healthy (Nebraska kid, Green), OL jelling, as well as commitment to the run. I'm not ready to call him good or anything, but he has been a pleasant surprise the past few weeks and looked pretty good as a work horse.

I was so happy to see Finley available for the game. He brings a whole new demension to the TE position for the Pack.

Great game. But Chris Johnson and Steve Slaton still get a crack at it tonight.

What does Drew think about that, Fritz?

If Drew would respond to my emails, twitters, scribbled notes, airplane smoke messages, or telepathic messages, I would not be offering Grant anything but advice.

Anyway, Grant really looked pretty good today. He's definitely not an explosive game-breaker anymore that he was in 2007....but he sure has become effective grounding out the tough yards. Very steady....and it's rare Snake praises Grant. Pretty solid game for Grant again.

How come I'm not feeling the love for Grant?

I'm tellin' ya, we're watching a poorly coached, uninspired football team. Grant had a great game and we should be ecstatic. The 49ers almost pulled a Tampa Bay. We are not playing good football for 4 quarters and Mike Mornhinweg has lost my confidence. Do you really think the Saints are THAT much better than us on paper? I think its coming from the sidelines for those guys.

I don't think she cares enough to bother with a restraining order...
