This game is all about composure for the Packers. They're the better team. They just have to keep doing what they've done to get here. Stop the run. Pressure Warner. Protect Arod.I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Arizona is gonna come out strong and we just have to punch them in the mouth and remind them that this isn't last year and you can't just turn it on. Once we overcome that initial burst of energy, I think we'll set the tone and wear them down. We're simply better.Originally posted by JoemailmanThis game is all about composure for the Packers. Where do you go to find out which crew will be officiating the game?[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Found it. Scott Green's crew.Originally posted by swedeWhere do you go to find out which crew will be officiating the game?
Does anyone know much about this crew?
Scott Green is an American football official in the National Football League. Green started in the NFL as a field judge with the start of the 1991 NFL season before switching to back judge after the league swapped position titles at the start of the 1998 NFL season. He became…
Apparently he was involved in a controversial play in 2008 between the Steelers and the Chargers:

As it turns out, it WAS a touchdown for Troy Polamalu, but it’ll never show up that way in the history books. Fortunately, this error didn’t change the outcome of the game. However, it messed up a lot of gamblers and fantasy players, and could possibly affect the playoff picture under certain scenarios.
The problem is that if ANY forward pass touches the ground, the play is dead. The officials simply got confused about which pass was which.
The little flip pass from LaDanian Tomlinson to Chris Chambers was an illegal forward pass, but was handled cleanly by Chambers. When Chambers tried to lateral again, the ball hit the ground. However, because that pass went backwards, the ball was still live and it was legal for Polamalu to pick it up and score.
There still should have been a penalty on the Chargers for the illegal forward pass from Tomlinson, which the Steelers could decline so they could keep the touchdown. That’s what happened initially. After that, referee Scott Green changed his mind (got confused, etc) and things got a little weird.
Let somebody else have Ed Hotchili.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I've witnessed BH's Brewere threads in meaningful games; if they lose this one it's all on BH !
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Bolding will play; I had him in FF this year and the guy played some games this year when he could hardly cut off his ankle. I just came back from visiting a Cards forum, most of their posters are whining and wringing their hands over tomorrow's game, Another poster said they're to expect at least 15,000 Packers fans tomorrow and that started them all over again. They're just sure GB is going to pour it on and win by a mile or four.
Well we are, aren't we?
Is it really a halo or
just a swelled head ?

The only thing that worries me is all the stinking love the media has thrown at us...if anything spells doom, it is the kisses received from media pundits.
The Packers are better than Arizona...but Arizona has a punchers chance if they can keep Warner upright. The whole key to this game for me is getting pressure up the middle in Warner's face. If we do that, we win solidly. My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

We were in the NFC championship just two years ago. Was that the last hurrah of an old era or the early arrival of a new era?
Maybe both at once.
Today's game could be like the playoff game vs the 49ers in '95. A robust and confident performance leading to decisive victory will serve warning to the rest of the league, just as it did in '95: This wasn't just a good season for Green Bay. This is the beginning of a new football dynasty.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I don't think our OL play puts us anywhere near dynasty just yet. We have a good young team...but most true dynasties revolve around a franchise QB behind a very good OL. In today's NFL, that is even more true considering the rules changes that have made the passing games so prolific and the tremendous number of high quality RB prospects coming out of college.Originally posted by swedeThis wasn't just a good season for Green Bay. We don't have a very good OL yet...and we could stand to learn how to grab some of that young dynamic talent at RB.My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?
