Its 2010 ND. You have to count the Sunday nighters. There are 3 of those. Two in Lambeau (Vikes, Cowboys) and one away (Patriots).

That bye week couldn't be timed better. Its after the halfway mark, and right before 4 road games in 5 contests. A home game breaks them up (49ers after visiting Vikes and Falcons) with a reasonable road game versus the Lions prior to finishing up in New England. Tough stretch.

No three game road trips though.

I want to float a conspiracy theory here. Does anybody else think that the NFL wants Favre to come back, since they gave the Vikings: Bills at Home, Giants at Home, Bears at Home, at Eagles, and at Lions for the Vikings' December and January games?

Pretty coincidental that a team with a "will he or won't he" QB who has recently not played well in cold weather gets 4/5 dome games in the months of December and January.

Personally, I would have liked the Vikings to have to play at Patriots, at Bills, and at Packers during December...

I like the fact that the Packers have the bye week to prepare for the game at Minnesota. Should be pretty healthy for what might be the most important game of the year. Vikings will be coming off a Sunday Night road game at Chicago.

Home games are determined by a formula, even for the non-division opponents. The NFL can just say when after the standing for 09 were final.

But the Vikings do play at the Jets, at the Patriots, and at the Packers, but they get to do it in October instead of a potential Favre-disaster if those games took place in December.

Gotcha. I thought you mentioned only their home/away matchups.

Much the same as last year, when he only had Chicago in the cold and by then the Bears were done.
