Couple of tough ones in there but I see no reason why 16-0 should be out of the question.

Well they don't have much of a travel issue - the farthest west is MN.

Like a week 9 bye - not too early.

No big home or away stands.

Don't like playing MNF in Chicago. But Sunday night in Lambeau against Favre would be cool.

Not a bad schedule. The only thing that I don't like is that we only play one game at home against a warm weather/dome team after early November. Was really hoping to get the Vikings at home late in the season.

Agree. The January 2nd game would have been a fitting tribute to a QB ending a career after the Vikings miss the playoffs.

Boy. That sounds like a plan!!!

                          Week 1. @ Phillie:

This will be a real test for Phillie. The onus will be on Reid and the gang if for no other reason than the McNabb trade.

I like our chances. It will be a youth versus youth affair, but The Packers' youth is more veteran and the veterans they have are outstanding.
                          Prediction: Packers Win

                          Week 2.Bills:

M3 has stumbled motivating his team when playing so-called underdogs. The Bills is a team that is in the process of rebuilding, from front office personnel to its practice squad.

If they don't start Brian Brohm and if doesn't play with a chip on his shoulder, then the only thing that can beat The Packers is The Packers themselves.

They play the rival Phins as an opener. If they win, they'll come to Lambeau feeling cocky; if they lose, they'll be playing to salvage their season.

It's good to have a trap game so early in the season. It might take the arrogance out of the team if they take it too lightly.
                          Prediction: Packers win.

                          Week 3. @ Da Bears!

They open at home to Detroit, which seems to be a victory, but, depending on the draft, don't count on it. I think we're all underestimating the Lions and I'm certain da Bears are! They'll probably win, but they'll get exposed.

Then, Da Bears have the dubious honour of opening Jonesworld as the first NFL guests (aside from pre-season). Jerry's boyz had better not lose, right?

So, regardless of a 2-0. 0-2, 1-1 record, they'll be banged up and scratching their heads. Just the right mindset for Lovie Smith to bet All-In. Chicago HATES The Packers.

I predict a hard-fought and dirty game. Packers win, maybe OT

                          Week 4. Lions:

I'm glad The Packers face the Lions at Lambeau after that catfight in Chicago. They will be coming in 1-3 after losses to either Bear or Philly and the Vikings. Sure, the Lions have won at Lambeau before. But M3 will enough tape after three games to de-witch Suh and the Packers won't be taking this game lightly. Prediction: Packers win.

                          Week 5. @ WAS:

Both teams have had a balanced schedule heading into week 5. Both have seen two didivision rivals, albeit the advantage goes to GBP (Lions) on that score. Both have two "easy" teams; GBP Bills, WAS Rams - adv. WAS.

One wonders if first year HC has his team firing on all cylinders by week 5. Will Haynsworth be there or not? etc. I have my doubts. With M3 returning so many starters and with the defense WAS plays also a 3-4, I think GBP's offense will decide the outcome. Prediction: Packers win.

                          Week 6. Miami:

Could we all pray for snow October 17? The Phins start out with a rivalry game against the Bills, follow it @ Vikings then get the tough teams in their division, albeit at home Jets and Pats.

Then they come of a bye to Lambeau.

Depending on their record to this point, The Packers are looking at another trap game. Going into it at 5-0, the Pack MUST remain focussed on this game and not on the Vikings next week. They will be coming off a tough win at WAS, and they'll be banged up after playing Shanahans shenanigens.
                          Prediction: Miami win

                          Week 7. Vikings:

They have a full schedule before heading to Lambeau. They open the season where they ended last season. A lot of energy and emotion will be spent in that game and if they come out the victor, they wwill play with swagger. I hope they lose. They follow with two games at the Dome against losing '09 teams (MIA, DET) and head into their bye week.

What promises to be a tough encounter in NY maybe puts them on a level playing field with the Jets coming of the bye. Then, they again get to trounce the Cowboys in the dome before heading to Lambeau.

                          I predict a 3-2 MIN meeting a 5-1 GBP, with a Packers win.

                          Week 8. @ Jets:

Beating the Jets this year will be tough on paper.

                          The key will be if:

                          * Sanchez can take the next step or if he has a sophomore slump.
                          * can Cromatie shine opposite Revis.
                          * Taylor really has his heart in it against any team not named Miami.

The good news is, of course, that The Packers get to practice against a 3-4 defense all year, where they previously struggled.

The other good news is that The Packers defense won't be as "green" as last season.

The bad news is they will be coming off a bye week and the Packers will be coming of a rivalry game . Prediction: Jets win

                          Week 9. Cowboys:

And after playing a refreshed Jets team in their house, The Packers get to play the Cowboys.

Dallas' bye was 4 weeks ago and since then, they've had contests with TEN, MIN, NYG & Jags, a definite 2-2 spread at worst.

The Packers, one game away from their bye week, will limp into this game. They'll try and consolidate and I expect that M§ will rely heavily on the run game to keep his defense off the field. Jackson should see plenty of action trying to keep the chains moving.

After studying the tape of the Vikings games, M3 will know how to attack them. Prediction: Packers win.

                          Week 10. Bye!!!!

Didn't the Packers start the season against the Eagles, the last time they played them in a season game? A couple years ago? - Favre's last year maybe? Packers won, because Philly's Special teams were horrible, if I remember.

This game will be a very early test for the o-line.
