I don't get it either. Why would they want to ship Lee out? Poor blocking? This guy is a project and I can't see him being ready this year for anything significant..

Nope. Next pick is a QB.

      • If this is a BPA situation, I sure hope he was head and shoulder above the best CB, LB, RB, or even QB available.

Seems like a sort of waste, with Finley, Lee and Havner on board.

You could be right. After Thursday and Friday night press conferences TT was talking to the press about how much he disliked the new format and how there was too much sitting around waiting, etc. He was like we have to plan to clean out some file cabinets or something to pass the time between rounds/picks . . .

          • First of all, it's a fifth round pick. Everybody picked in a fifth round is going to have some perceived flaws.

Second, what's wrong with someone to push Donald Lee?

And what must Teddy think of Brad Jones, then?

I don't really like Lee as he seems to drop a lot of passes, but I also don't really like this pick. Are there not any OLB's or CB's that are worth a 5th rounder left?

Yea I have to question whether Quarless will even make the team.

[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Maybe another Tight End is available

These have all been light a fire under fill-in-the-blank/competition picks.

BPA. My guess is the players at this position are not better than Jones. Jones played well and should only get better.

                          • Rumormonger - Packers traded ??? for Shelton Quarles, OLB, Tampa Bay

Lol, Mort on ESPN just said "Did you see Shelton Quarles to the Packers?" I think he meant Quarless, because Shelton Quarles is 39 and has been retired in 2006.

                              • i honestly think they feel this dude can be the donald lee we need donald lee to be... pretty good run blocker who tries hard and has a long frame. broke the psu all time record for catches by a tight end. you know joe-pa aint throwing the ball 40 times a game or anything.

after those drops in the endzone this year, i dunno, i just dont care for d.lee anymore. on the decline, let's go
