  • Well the number of OL guys alone mean that a few have to get cut.

that sounds like most of the guys on this board, rather than NFL player. (':P')

        He's the new Nate Newton.
im down for a plumpy texas kid.. let's see what he can do or ship him out. TT had to like him for some reason.

But there is an upside right?

Say he might be one of the most athletic guards in the draft...that's about it.

            His backside is his upside
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I don't like him outside, bad kick-step, narrow base in space, will lunge and get off balance on the outside.

But on the inside, there's a lot of promise. Good athlete. He's a "natural bender" and he plays with pretty good leverage. Fires off the ball quickly and with power, and he can create creases in the run game. He can anchor, but can't really redirect which is why he's probably strictly an OG prospect. Three year starter, lots of power, good enough athlete, adequate technician.

Bulaga was the most boring of the picks. After that, we've gotten some impressive athletes.

Neal, Burnett, Quarless, Newhouse. . . .Wow, we're fishing for stars, clearly.

I have not read that Neal or Newhouse are great athletes

Would agree that Burnett and Quarless fit that
Neal yes. Trgovac said it as well as Shaun Herock. And his numbers match that description. Newhouse, I have no idea.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

my bad then; I need to go listen to the press conferences
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

tauch and Wells were 7th rounders, never know! Lights a (bigger) fire under Barbre/Giacomini~
what about lang and sitton? TT knows how to find the right guys during this part of the draft.

good bloodlines -- former cowboys rb robert newhouse. sounds intelligent.

                          • I never complain about drafting an O-lineman, you need so many of them. Wolf used to say you have to draft at least one every year.

But someone will be gone, the numbers are getting up there. Just like Moll last year, Coston before that. That's a good thing, though.

I can't imagine a scenario in which both Giacomini and Barbre make the team, maybe neither one. You have limited chances to make an impact in pro sports.

what does sitton look like? what about bag of donuts? its not a beauty contest -- if it were bruce campbell wins hands down.

                              • you can go to cbssports draft section and click prospect rankings. You can sort players based on position and then click on Vertical, 40, 10 yd split, etc. . .

Neal was one of the top athletes at his position. Not as athletic as Suh or Alualu, but very close to McCoy.

Newhouse was one of the top tested OL in the entire draft too.
