Packer Cuts

The Packers are going to release the roster, all at once, at the last possible minute because they're required to do so. Right now we're finding out about the cuts from the players and their agents. Cyril Obiozor doesn't know anything about whether or not Jarrett Bush is getting cut, so it doesn't pay to ask him about it.</delurk>

MM meets personally with each player cut. Packers have diligently protected info until the player knows, so as the meeting is done the word gets out on a player.Originally posted by PuggerEgad, Fred's Slacks might be right, it looks like we're gonna get these names one at a time.
Very respectful of the players, in my opinion.

kuhn showed he is more then capable of playing HB. then starks comes of the PUP week 6 and will be added to the team for sureOriginally posted by Lurker64Keeping only 2 RBs is a little worrisome, especially when both of them play ordinarily. Wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson grab somebody.

i also read today that TT likes to wait until the last possible minute so that other teams have a ton of players they have to sort through and that makes it easier to slip guys through to the PSOriginally posted by PatlerMM meets personally with each player cut. Well, as many as eight of the guys getting cut today will end up on the Packers practice squad. You get paid less, and you don't travel with the team, but to my eyes those guys are still Packers.Originally posted by PuggerBut I always feel bad for the guys that don't make the cut and I hope they find work elsewhere, as long as they don't come back to haunt us!
Still, today is a tough day for all sorts of guys around the league. Even the guys that make it. Mike Neal is assured to make the Packers and will feel good about that, but I'm sure he'll be a little bummed if C.J. Wilson (who was his camp roomate, and by all accounts they're pretty close) gets cut.
I'm sure that TT is acutely aware of this fact, since he's been around the bottom of a number of NFL rosters during his playing career.</delurk>
