In honor of Rastak, I've decided to continue his tradition of ranking NFC North QB Ratings, which I always enjoyed. If I get lazy and don't update this thread and someone else wants to, feel free to carry the torch.
QB Rating stats are from NFL.com
1. Jay Cutler 108.3
2. Matthew Stafford 86.2
3. Aaron Rodgers 73.1
4. Brett Favre 71.7
5. Shaun Hill 38.9
Amateur analysis:
Pretty safe to say that excluding Hill, divisional QB rankings are almost the exact opposite of what most of us expect them to be at the end of the season. Cutler's monster yardage numbers and 2 TDs help offset his inevitable INT. Stafford was relatively effective prior to his injury, Rodgers and Favre generated pedestrian ratings by their standards. If the Hill-Johnson controversial non-TD was ruled complete, Hill may have approached triple digits.
Next week's outlook:
Expect the rankings to trend back towards career norms. Both Favre and Rodgers face what should be easier opponents in week one, while the level of difficulty for Cutler increases significantly from Lions to Cowboys. Will be interesting to see how effective Hill can be taking the place of the injured Stafford against a tough opponent.
