It's extremely annoying if Favre's streak (?!) ends with a suspension. If he had to get knocked out, I wanted the Packers to do it.
ya, we tried that last year before he made us his bitch. I'd be fine with a suspension in case he does it again
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Well, either way, it's part of his "legacy". Ziggy called it, I think. If he sits out injured, his "legacy" is that injury ended the streak, not a sext scandal.
Deanna has issued a statement defending her husband: "Those pictures Brett sent to that woman were meant for me. But you know Brett - they were intercepted!"

I hate to sound cynical but I doubt anything will happen to #4 over this incident except maybe a fine at the most for behavior unbecoming.

Behavior unbecoming what? A decent human, an intelligent person, a non-pervert? Do tell!
I wonder if anyone besides Deanna will remember this in 10 years (apparently about the time Favre predicts he'll need a cane. )

Couple things: First, was Roger Goodell at the Notre Dame/Western Michigan game? If so, what the hell is the NFL commish doing at a game like that??
Secondly, the article in the Post was really good. This is what I think is the best line of the article: "Favre's alleged revolting behavior and subsequent tear-filled apology to his teammates for being a "distraction" were as predictable as the quarterback throwing into double coverage late in a game."
True - and hilarious.

They'll get their chance. NBC will make sure Favre is playing against the Packers on Sunday night.

As the odds of the Packers winning would increase if we faced TJack, normally I would agree. But this is one time I will be happy to see the Packers face someone at full strength.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Normally, I'd agree wholeheartedly with this, Joe, but isn't America getting bored with Favre? Especially if, dare-I-say, after the Vikings lose today?
Not to state the obvious, but Bert cares nothing but for what is best for him. He sees nothing more than the next 10 minutes of his life at a time and what is best for him during those 10 minutes.
He now beats up Childress to get practice over as soon as possible in the day……it’s bow hunting season you know. While the rest of the sports world ponders his sore arm, he is on the Phenom 100 for the 15 minute flight to Eau Claire for an afternoon of bow hunting as often as he can. Doesn't sound like a guy worrying too much about his arm.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

Doesn't bow hunting require a certain amount of arm strength? I mean I've shot bow and arrow, and it seems to me that an arm too sore to throw a football would have trouble with drawing a bow steadily.

Hell yeah it requires strength. I went to the local archery club's open day about 8 years ago and they had some bows that and targets set up for visiters. It's great fun, but the next day, my right arm nearly fell off from the muscle pain. And I only shot maybe 5 arrows!
Brett Favre's interview with NFL security chief Milt Alherich will come after the Minnesota Vikings quarterback declined an attempt to interview him this past week, according to sources familiar with the league's investigation into allegations that he sent inappropriate text messages to a former Jets employee in 2008.
The league allowed Favre the final option of meeting either Monday or Tuesday in Minneapolis, where the interview with Alherich will take place, the sources said. Alherich served 25 years with the FBI before joining the league as its security chief.
Alherich and his security department have had no success in attempts to interview Jenn Sterger, whom allegedly was the recipient of inappropriate text messages and photos in 2008 when she served as a gameday host when she and Favre were employed by the Jets.
Without Sterger's cooperation, sources say the investigation could hit a dead end as early as this coming week. It is not known what details Favre will provide Alherich. He has not publicly denied the allegations, which were made on Deadspin.com.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will only meet with Favre if the league's investigation provides evidence that the quarterback has possibly violated the league's personal-conduct policy, the sources added.
Favre has been listed as questionable by Minnesota for Sunday's game against Dallas with tendinitis in his right elbow. He has started a record 289 straight games.
Chris Mortensen is ESPN's senior NFL analyst. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

If that's true, it should be an instant suspension. If I declined an interview with our ethics or security officers, I wouldn't have a job.
If Jenn Sterger doesn't want to give the images, there are two other women who may just be willing.
