Wow. This one hurts alot.

Stupid penalties at crucial moments, turnovers at crucial moments, no offense when needed....I see a pattern here. I know it's one game...and now with the injuries, this ship is sinking...fast.

Well that was rough.

I was impressed with our 3rd string D. They held their own for being strapped together with duct tape and sawdust. Offense looked dead after Finley and Lee went out, even though Quarless made some nice plays.

I think you nailed it with this opinion.

Plenty of blame to go around to for the vets, coaching and ST's, but the replacements played pretty damned well.

To be fair to the team and , it's tough to implement a gameplan when you lose 4 starters during a single game, 3 in the first quarter!

And without Mathews, well, 'nuff said.

Holy fuck....how bad are those guys injured?

No word yet. Word was Matthews had a hamstring cramp. Pickett an ankle. Lee a shoulder. Finley was on crutches with a knee injury.

Run game or trading for a running back is not the problem. They didn't convert into scores in the first half.

Then in the second half, they never figured out how to protect and beat their coverage.

Some of that I blame on Finley being out. You run a two or three man route so you can protect with 7 or 8, Finley is still going to be a viable option for a catch. They never came up with something reliable to replace him on 3rd down. Drops hurt a ton, as did turnovers and penalties again.

Just using the run game more in the second half might have avoided more 3rd and long. But they did not need a new O line or new RB to do it.

Well a Viking loss can make it a better week. We're still 3-2. No reason to panic. Lets get some guys healthy.

I don't know if Lynch woulda been the answer. Where were the running plays today?

Why does MM steadfastly refuse to run the football today? After closing out last week's game with the run, he won't use it today?

The injuries are a factor, no doubt. But your defense was battered and it held up.

And the Skins' D is statistically one of the worst in the league. And the Packers can score only 13?

This season is turning into a mess.

Especially when we don't even try.

Run game averaged 9 yards a carry and you're blaming that for the loss? How about we sucked ass on 3rd down? We missed a FG? Too many penalties? Injuries?

When we just become one dimensional and the Redskins can just pin their ears back and pass rush all the damn time that's a problem.

We needed to run the ball more so we didn't have 3rd and long.

I'm not solely blaming the loss on the lack of attempts with the run game, I'm just pissed that we didn't even try and run the ball more when it was successful.

not to get too mushy on everyone in hear, but I'm glad I have a place to go and see people pissed off and rant about this game. I'm a lone Packer fan in Iggles Country. It makes me feel better that I'm not the only one irritated, irrate, upset...whatever.

I'm really bugged about this - supposedly all this talented receivers would take up slack - there was so much talent! - but when MM won't even pretend to run the football, stuff's not going to work in the passing game because the Skins' D doesn't have to honor the run.

This seems to be to me about more than just injuries. This is an offense that has no identity. An offense without a running game is like a man without balls.

This isn't the dilemma of the Chicken or egg 'cos McCarthy was here before the injuries started.

I think he's gotten real bad the past couple years. He gets away with more than any CB I witness as well......but it seems like he's getting handsy on most plays even when he doesn't need to.
