The 2010 NFL trade deadline has come and has gone, and like most years, nothing really happened. This year looked to be a bit different...

Not a trade. Browns cut him yesterday. Some speculation on another site that he's coming to Packers if he has clean bill of health. No confirmation though.

Nothing confirmed yet but it was speculated that he might be going to the Falcons also. Then he posted this on his twitter:

          JDavis_28 James Davis
I'm mad I came home yesterday to Atlanta to see my family and now I gotta fly back out.

          So looks like no Atlanta.

My favorite thing about Twitter is that people are guessing like crazy what team I'm going too..lol..I love it. I can say some are close

Wilde and I were sending him messages about coming to GB right before he posted the "some are close". Who knows. I'm not even sure how this all started but there's a guy on Football's Future who came up with the "it's a go if his knee checks out" theory.

And Rob Demovsky said there was a third player signed by the Packers today but the paperwork missed today's deadline (whatever that means) and couldn't be announced until tomorrow.

Looks like Davis might be very close to being a Packers guys. Paper work has been sent!

The guy posting this is very knowledgeable, and actually does some scouting for an NFL team.

OK, fine, a couple highlights won't hurt:

                  81 yard TD last year:

Pretty good cutting ability and speed on the 81 yard run...even if it was against the Lions.

Too bad they restored back most of it.

                            GIVE TT SOME CREDIT HERE

Willhelm IMO is a good signing and a nice fit here

Davis would be a nice signing as well

                            I don't know a thing about Briggs
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I guess Nance must not've been cutting it, if this turns out to be true about this Davis.

Of course, if Cleveland is cutting the guy, and no one else is picking him up (waivers, right?) then how good is he?

Supposedly, Atlanta put in a waiver claim as well.
