  • It was his retirement speech. "My career speaks for itself." "I have nothing to prove." The same shit, different day.

RECAP: A fitting death knell to the 2010 season and, perhaps, the Brad Childress coaching era in Minnesota. Red-zone inefficiency. Third-down failures. Turnovers on offense. Leaky pass coverage at the cornerback position. Bonehead penalties. A toxic mess that added up to a massacre at the Metrodome in Childress' worst home loss. It was the Vikings' most lopsided loss at the Dome since Jacksonville pounded them 33-3 in 2001, which was Dennis Green's last game as head coach before he was fired.

MEANING: A major shake-up is expected, with owner Zygi Wilf poised to axe Childress with six games remaining in his fifth season in Minnesota. Childress also has two more years remaining on the contract extension he signed last year. Hall-of-fame quarterback Brett Favre threw another interception -- his 17th and 22nd turnover of the season -- that spawned a sideline spat with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. His record streak of 295 consecutive starts could be in jeopardy. The Vikings' fourth loss in five games drops them to 3-7 and essentially snuffs their faint playoff chances while the Packers (7-3) keep pace with Chicago in NFC North Division.

I caught that also. sometimes it it's nice to have a third commentator in the booth to call out stupid comments from guys like Aikman that spout unsubstantiated b.s.

              Nice, nice win.

That was me and early, he was. As usual, he was getting help from Rodgers before he settled down in the 2nd quarter. It was much better when Rodgers was predictable in the pocket or they threw early.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

yup. that sack was AR i believe (holding the ball too long). i made a comment in this thread that i wished they'd run a lot less shotgun. was it my imagination was did they do just that in the second half?

                        • Did anyone notice the Packers won the toss and deferred? McCarthy, between challenges and that, is on fire.

I didn't even see it. But the NFC North blogger on ESPN caught it.

                            Siefert from ESPN wrote this:

McCarthy chose to put his defense -- which has now limited opponents to 10 points in its past three games -- in control.

"I've never deferred a coin toss in my career here and there's a number of factors that go into making that decision," he said.

Sounds to me like it might have been a gigantic FU to ole Bert.

I had trouble with 10 per page. 20 is much more consistent.
How do you make this change?
