I live in New England and have to watch these schmucks every weekend ( got two tv's right near each other) ... Capers needs to use bump / close coverage as much as possible... All these receivers rely on YAC and aren't really burners (desean jackson) so getting beat deep isn't a real big threat unless Brady has 7 seconds to throw... On defense, they are decent but have been playing over their heads, if our O-line can hold up I can see this being a shootout...
I think the real big key will be pressure on Brady... Having Jenkins out is going to hurt, hopefully Capers can draw up some stunts / blitz packages...

Not sure this will work. In exactly the opposite manner as the NFL has declared open season on Aaron Rodgers, Brady is untouchable. As a matter of fact, our defense had better hit the Listerine pretty hard, because even a whiff of mildly bad breath hitting Brady will draw an unnecessarily roughness 15 yard penalty and a first down.Originally posted by steve823 View PostThe key is to get to him and hit him a few times. We cannot give him as much time as teams have been giving him! He has been in a clean pocket and has had all day to throw the last couple of games, due to the great blocking of his o-line.

Sadly your right. If you touch the guy it's a flag..I mean the guy had rules made just for him, unbelievable. I still think we need to rough him up (cleanly and penalty free of course, though I wouldn't mind a few shots at him), but thats a lot easier sad then done..especially when they throw so many quick passes.Originally posted by MichiganPackerFan View PostNot sure this will work. Run the ball early and often. If they establish the run, the game will be a lot closer than people think. Oh, and we need Aaron."I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." - Vince Lombardi

The 2 teams that beat the Pats controlled the ball with their running game. Jets ran 32 times for 146 yards and had the ball for 33 minutes. Browns ran it 46 times for 230 yards and had the ball for 38 minutes. The Packers can win this game if they can have success in the running and short passing game. There's just not much reason to be optimistic about that however.I can't run no more

I would like to see Nick Collins line up close to the line and do the LeRoy Butler thing. No one has any film on that, and with his acceleration he would be a huge asset blitzing....especially if you could disguise him and Woodson so you couldn't figure out who was coming.Originally posted by packers11 View PostI live in New England and have to watch these schmucks every weekend ( got two tv's right near each other) ... go 8 or 9 defensive backs all game long. Beat the living shit out of the WRs at the LOS. Send one or two guys late blitzing on every down, mixing up where they come from. Give up the run, hope to give up more FGs than TDs. If the offensive line shows up, and Roger's cobwebs clear, the Packers can score up to 30 points on this team"Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck
