With no threat of a running game its hard to see us pull out a victory. But let's assume a barely average run game can be acheived.
One thing I would love to see is CMIII rushing from multiple positions. I can't recall him coming on a delayed blitz up the middle for awhile. He's so explosive that I think you have to make the offense identify him every play and not just assume that he's going to line up against a tackle out of a three point stance. Maybe Capers feels that with the injuries throughout the linebacker corps we can't engage in as much disguise as I saw at the start of the season. But, whatever the reason I think we need to get back to using him and Woodson as multi-faceted weapons.
On offense I assume we'll do a better job in protection. Jennings will be dangerous and command attention. Jordy will be solid. Its too much to ask Quarless to have a breakout game, but he has to show up. So, really it comes down to Jones and/or maybe Driver having a huge game in order to force the Pats to defend sideline to sideline.
Oh yeah, Aaron Rodgers has to start. If not it's time to start drinking early to induce a blackout. Nothing less than 80 proof. Probably should take some rufies too, just to be safe.

I love it all the rats jumping ship saying we have no chance!!! I think we win out and storm the playoffs! REMEMBER Matt Flynn has NEVER lost a start!Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

I was checking the Pats defensive stats on nfl.com and their D is not that great. They are ranked #27th in yards ceded and 31st in pass D!
They are average against the run. They are winning because of Brady and their passing attack. We are still #1 in scoring D #3 in pass D so I'm not losing sleep over our D. The Pats will score but I don't think we'll give up as much as the bares did unless we turn it over like they did. Isn't that what is the difference usually in NFL games, turnovers? Those 2 turnovers in the first half really killed us in Detroit and will masacre us in NE if we are that careless again.

I was thinking the same thing, if they rack up rushing yards, fine, just don't give Bradybunch more than 3 seconds or he'll cut you up. It is possible our defense could win the game if they can generate some turnovers. This is the Packers Super Bowl.Originally posted by mraynrand View Postgo 8 or 9 defensive backs all game long. Beat the living shit out of the WRs at the LOS. Send one or two guys late blitzing on every down, mixing up where they come from. Give up the run, hope to give up more FGs than TDs. If the offensive line shows up, and Roger's cobwebs clear, the Packers can score up to 30 points on this teamThanks Ted!

Bigby and Anthony Smith have been practicing. I do wonder if we'll see some creative use of DBs in the game. CW is an ideal guy to have underneath on Sunday. They'll need a big game from him.Originally posted by mraynrand View Postgo 8 or 9 defensive backs all game long. Beat the living shit out of the WRs at the LOS. I have to think NE will be playing the Pack receivers wicked tight and will try to take away all the short stuff. So Flynn has to have the guts to take some shots down field. That also means the friggin OL has to show up.
I'd love to see a screen game, which would serve as a surrogate to our non-existent running attack. But we've been screaming for the screen all year.
