Spot on gbpackfan.Originally posted by gbpackfan View PostHahahaha. Okay buddy. You keep your green and gold glasses on. 6 games lost this season by a total of 20 points! MM has a problem winning close games, plain and simple. And we are not going to kick the shit out of anyone in the playoffs, if we happen to get in. This team is beat to shit, has the special teams of a pop warner team and a coach who needs to read Time Management for Dummies. Now by no means do I think the Packers are out of it, but sticking your head in the sand and ignoring MMs fuck ups arent going to make them go away.PackerRats Thompson D. How can you possibly say this? This isn't about this loss -- I thought we played well. This is about Detroit, and Chicago, and Washington, and... when the games are close at the end of the game, MM has shown time and time again that this is a situation he just can't handle.Originally posted by Bossman641 View PostNot only that. The last time they lost to a NFC team at home was 8 years ago....against the Packers. Anyone bitching about MM after this game is out of their mind.
For everything the guy does well, this major deficiency is a huge factor in the outcome of football games. It can't be argued. This team has skill, MM can do some things. But there's not a big enough edge to make up for his inability to manage the actual game.

My point was that we played in Detroit with our heads up our asses. Are you Honestly arguing against that? Honestly?Originally posted by retailguy View PostHonestly? The team lost their franchise QB in the 1st half of the game. The inexperienced backup comes in to play behind a crap line, and still played well into the 4th QTR. Hell of an effort on Flynns part.
OUr problem is the same thing it's been for the past 4 seasons - THE OFFENSIVE LINE.Fred's Slacks is a Winner!

Sure...won't you buy me a winner with that credit then?Originally posted by pbmax View PostSo NO credit for getting the team to evenly play perhaps the best team in the league at home.

No shit. But it's McCarthy's fault, right? Anybody expecting the Packers to be Super Bowl contenders with their walking wounded need to lower their expectations. Hell of an effort by the team tonight. Getting to the playoffs would be a really nice accomplishment this year. Beating the Bears in the playoffs would make for a great season. Let's do it.Originally posted by gbpackfan View PostThis team is beat to shit"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

The fact that this game was as close as it was is a credit to that staff. That team played a hell of a game.Originally posted by gbpackfan View PostIt's not MM's overall playcalling. It's how he manages close games at critical times. His record in close games is RED FLAG, whether you chose to believe it or not is on you. What, he is like 5-16 in close games now? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

The loss was much more complicated than that. I believe I understand why we lost to Detroit. I didn't agree with your analogy, and I still don't.Originally posted by Fred's Slacks View PostMy point was that we played in Detroit with our heads up our asses.
